I saw him on Saturday in Santa Fe - excellent voice - excellent show. He really touched some folks with his lyrics - this was one song that literally brought some folks to tears. I like his New jersey song - but I'm originally from Jersey City so....
Always grand to hear this wonderful performer and this fabulous song. The band are great too...everything so carefully and respectfully arranged. Also, let's not forget the fantastic bass player...these days we don't hear enough of those beautiful swooping lines !
I thought I was going crazy when I often caught a glimpse of my late wife in a crowd or on the street. This song struck me hard, but I am so grateful that my experiences like this have been put into such beautiful poetry. Gorka is a tremendous artist.
I was fortunate enough to see Mr. Gorka at McCabes in Santa Monica many years ago but he is terrific and yes, this song destroys me every time
