I live in a studio in santa monica and it's $2700 not including parking which is $150

You’re so right about LA prices being different from the rest of the world. I moved to LA from the south and the difference is crazy! I pay $1200 for a studio apartment in LA. It wasn’t as nice as this apartment but i guess the trade off is living alone and having a space to myself. Sometimes I wish I got along with people enough to enjoy having roommates, then I could stay in somewhat of a nicer place in LA for about the same price. Or maybe just find me a boo to split that $1200 with! Wishful thinking.
Same! I pay $1150 for a studio in Los Angeles but the neighborhood is nice and safe so i felt like it’s worth it comparatively.

Honestly that’s not terrible considering that it’s a pretty nice/modern place! My boyriend and I split a one bedroom in St Louis for $1330.. but it’s a new complex with a nice gym/pool as well

Im reading all the comments and laughing at how people think these prices are so crazy! Im from New York City and am so use to these crazy prices lol. I actually thought her rent was really inexpensive I was surprised at that haha. I can still say nyc prices are absolutely ridiculous.

I used to live at Santa Monica and Western back in the day. I lived in a 4 unit building with no parking. Never again.

$4000 per month i nearly fell off my seat...the mortgage for my family home of 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and a massive yard was $2000 a month.
