Huge fan of Canadian Graham Greene. I really appreciate how Costner included so many First Nations people and laboured to depict them with dignity and respect.
I, like many people am a lot of things. I have been a lay historian for decades, military historian. I served 7 years, the last three in the Special forces in direct action. Prior to service, as a Native advocate I could watch movies like this, for some reason after having served multiple tours and missions on foreign soil, I can no longer watch anything where Native Americans are slaughtered. Or movies where kids are victims. I tried watching this movie a couple years ago, up to the point I knew the tribes were about to be wiped out. And clicked it off. So never saw the ending. Didn't even know there was sequel.
What a mess! Did the producers of this even watch the movie? So many inaccuracies within this. Please try harder as you continue to produce some fine content
I agree with Wes, his performance in “Dances With Wolves”, made the movie. It was riveting. Gil Birmingham should be on your list, “Under The Banner Of Heaven” was his movie. Your list should have had Zahn McClarnon.
In the movie, Stands With A Fist was not trying to commit suicide, when John Dunbar found her. In many cultures worldwide, it is a custom for the women to go into a phase of mourning, when their husbands die. This is often accompanied by self-flagellation or mutilation, in order to free the soul, promote spiritual healing, and to preserve natural order. It is within the purview of her father, Kicking Bird, to tell her when she can stop mourning. When Dunbar found her on the prairie, she had sought solace near the tree, and was singing a ritual song, while lightly cutting her arms and wrists. That is why she had the knife and all that blood adhering to the lap of her clothing.
Yeah the way they thought back then was crazy. Yet, doesn’t mean she wasn’t in the processes of killings herself. They also believe that if they survived this it was called a rebirth. They were giving different names etc at times to promote the change. Many cultures have the name change to promote change.
Larry Joshua's character was not a sergeant, (He was the captain) and did not treat Dances with wolves badly! The character Spivey (Tony Pierce) treated Dunbar badly! You also have some Rodney D. Grant clips when describing Otter! You need to take this whole post down and try again!
I find many of your commentaries very interesting, but many times when you talk of one individual you have images of another, making it confusing. Like Sergeant Bauer, you have the wrong character showing from beginning to almost the end. Dances with Wolves isn't the only one. So I guess I say your editing is poor. Story line is good and captivating.
I'm confused! If two Sox died in the sad part of the movie, then who is that wolf that Howl's good bye at the end!? The same wolf that plays two Sox ghost!?
Danças com Lobos é para mim um dos melhores filmes de sempre.Não tem conta as vezes que vi e vou continuar a ver.Todos os filmes de Kevin Costner são excelentes ,ele é um ator e um realizador extraordinário.
I remember seeing the movie more than thirty years ago at the cinema with my late Dad, who was a senior BBC boss at the time.........what did you think of it I asked?.......' Ruined by the love affair between the director and the leading man'........LOL
Kevin Costner didn't just act and produce, he also directed the movie Dances With Wolves. Why no mention of his acting, producing and directing the movie Open Range from 2003. There are many other misses, mistakes and mispronunciations and it is regrettable this documentary was not not better researched, written, and produced because it is a subject of interest and deserved better.
Hi thanks for sharing thing about this flim and i know wes sudti and gramham geenie is one who is ondia and bron a Canadian but he is onida nation person no matter what thanks again good luck with everything
What about a movie-setup in China?..."The Way of the Dragon". A retired Patriot(Kevin Costner) in collaboration with an old Detective (Jack Nicholson) on a chosen Novel that can drive them of their status as Actors... Two characters deals on a socialite woman that is torn apart by Socialism. (Monica Bellucci.) God bless everyone... Do not ignore how someone made sure of your ignorance to the words we dwell around us.... ~ Mr Bean (Rowan Atkinson)
Think of what each of these have accomplished and stared in other movies. How many have believed and trusted in the gospel for salvation??? 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Why?? This life can be very short and they leave all their wealth when they die.
Thanks for visiting The Ultimate Discovery Channel! I hope you enjoy the watch!
Wow. The opening line, and its accompanying graphic, literally botches the movie name! Not a good start. 🙁
Huge fan of Canadian Graham Greene. I really appreciate how Costner included so many First Nations people and laboured to depict them with dignity and respect.
Lord.kiltridge, there are impersonators out there, making out they are Graham Green. What is his real background?
I saw this movie twice. Even my father watched it twice, too. We went with my mother. She only saw it once. It was a good movie.
You have some Rodney D. Grant clips when you are addressing the "Otter" character played by Michael Speers.
I came to the comments to verify this to myself!🤣
Me too.
So was I 😄
The contradictions on the characters is both confusing and annoying. I suggest you go back the drawing board and try again.
Absolutely, so many mistakes
Many mistakes in this video! Ugh!
This is nothing but lies! 🙁
Terribly inaccurate.. showing Rodney Grant as Michael Spears.. can they not see that?!! Also their personal lives are completely fabricated

Graham Green is onebof my favourite actors, I don't really remember him in the green mile, but I remember him in Free Willy
He played Bitterbuck in The Green Mile. He was the first inmate to be executed.
Fine actor and handsome gent. Enjoyed his performance in Transamerica. Totally believable!
One of my favourites.
What a mess! Did the producers of this even watch the movie? So many inaccuracies within this. Please try harder as you continue to produce some fine content
Yes! This was painful to watch!

Punho Erguido?
When it came out, I seen it 23 times. Was able to speak some of the language.😮
ahh yes, the American classic Dance with wolf
Not Smiles A Lot! I had a bit of a crush on him. How disappointing. His beautiful smile hid a villain.
Yellowstone ranch is in Montana...
That was Dallas Goldtooth not spears that you showed from Reservation Dogs

No. It was a different wolf. There are more than 1 individual to a species. In other words, if a wolf dies, there are still other wolves
The big bad wolf. The one that will huff and puff and blow your house down.🐺
Danças com Lobos é para mim um dos melhores filmes de sempre.Não tem conta as vezes que vi e vou continuar a ver.Todos os filmes de Kevin Costner são excelentes ,ele é um ator e um realizador extraordinário.
Maury Chaykin was also awesome in the movie "Blind", with Julianne Moore.
Respected Canadian actor. Gone now, sad to say.
The author of the narrative never saw the movie😂.
I remember seeing the movie more than thirty years ago at the cinema with my late Dad, who was a senior BBC boss at the time.........what did you think of it I asked?.......' Ruined by the love affair between the director and the leading man'........LOL
Best you go back and watch it again. I think you're confused.
McDonnell was in the first Independence Day! Her character passed away in the first movie. 🤔
Sorry, but by the portrayal of "Sgt. Bauer" I had to stop that clip, because you're talking just crap.
Kevin Costner didn't just act and produce, he also directed the movie Dances With Wolves. Why no mention of his acting, producing and directing the movie Open Range from 2003.

Yellowstone is in Montanna
Guess what? Yellowstone Park is in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho as well.
So Kevin Costner was already huge before DWW. And Yellowstone is taking place in Montana 🤓 sorry, huge fan 😁😄
You lost me from watching this segment because of you not getting the name right!!!!
Despite your narrative, no Indians appear in this film. The term is outdated and insulting to Indigenous persons.
Greene was the deaf demolitions expert and member of Possum Lodge
I couldn’t watch even three minutes of this. So many mistakes make you wonder what is true and what isn’t.
Serious inaccuracies throughout.
It's Montana not Wyoming
kirk baltz you forgot reservoir dogs
You have a lot wrong. It seems like you didn't watch the movie.
You need to re do your history. Your information is all screwed up.
Hi thanks for sharing thing about this flim and i know wes sudti and gramham geenie is one who is ondia and bron a Canadian but he is onida nation person no matter what thanks again good luck with everything
There are a few things that aren't right in this!
Have you ever danced with the 😈 devil in the pale moon 🌙 light?
Haha, I have to admit, I prefer dancing with some good ol' disco moves instead of the devil!
Really bad video !!! So many mistakes
Unorganized and filled with significant errors
Ya, this guy messed up quite a few of these actors. Did he actually watch this movie? I doubt it. LOL
Mary McDonald was in Independance Day 2 when she died in the first one?
Umm.. no. lol
Montana not wyoming
Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho, actually.
What a jumbled mess! Inaccurate and mixed up info. 😂
Yellowstone ranch it is Montana not Wyoming
You had one job 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻
I have damced with Wolves! I have a native name Gona Laughing Pony 🐴
Not quite accurate
WTF are you showing Rodney D. Grant clips when you are addressing the "Otter" character played by Michael Speers.
Horrible. How many characters were needed to kill the wolf? Mispronunciations and lousy narration. You should pull this video, its awful.
What about a movie-setup in China?..."The Way of the Dragon". A retired Patriot(Kevin Costner) in collaboration with an old Detective (Jack Nicholson) on a chosen Novel that can drive them of their status as Actors... My heart is literally Broken for Smiles a lot. 💔💔💔 I sincerely pray that he finds JESUS. JESUS will forgive him.💔💔💔
You were wrong on so many points it was laughable
The murdering rancher family
What sequel? Oh this is manure it was "Dances with Wolves....."
U mean..Dances…Not Dance. U Fail.
Think of what each of these have accomplished and stared in other movies. How many have believed and trusted in the gospel for salvation??? 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Why?? This life can be very short and they leave all their wealth when they die.
Dance with Wolves? This video is stupid.
Dances With Wolves is the only movie I've ever walked out of. Horrible movie.
😂, you weren't invited 😂😂
@@marianyazzie8592 Good thing I wasn't because I would have turned them down.
