Remember that reviews are subjective. Don't rely on one person’s opinion - watch multiple 'reviews' and make your own mind up. Unlike some, I don't do this to replace a day job as that makes the creative decisions all about 'getting paid'. I am free to be completely honest and clear in the videos I make. I’m not asking vendors to pay for these videos, so opinions are mine alone.

Thanks for the reminder that this exists! Wow... only been available since Nov '21... how did I miss that one! 😆Very useful, will be printing a couple of these this week... is much better than some of the others I've seen.

I have a perplexing situation. I am converting a commercial zero-turn lawn mower to RC. I'm using a FrSky X20S radio and a FrSky 12-channel receiver; the parts of the project I thought would be the hardest, fitting servos and relays to make the mower run, were actually the easiest parts; I made a lot of 3d printed parts. The most perplexing part I'm finding is getting two nine-gram servos to behave in your compact pan and tilt servo mounts. I have actually burned up, as in the smoke actually got out of them two 9 gram servos. The servo cables are the standard white/red/black cables, two from channels 9 and 10 on the receiver; they run about seven feet to the pan and tilt servos; they will typically work normally for a short while, then just turn into bricks. I can plug a servo with a stock lead into the channels, and it runs fine. I have done numerous continuity checks on the cables and it always comes out fine. I'm wondering what to check. Next; the servo cables do run closely with some 12vdc cables for about four feet; could they be inducing some kind of noise or weird voltage situations in the cables? Maybe ferrite chokes at the receiver and the servo ends of the cables? Are seven feet too long and possibly causing an under voltage at the servo end and causing the servos to burn up? Any ideas greatly appreciated, thanks for you time reading this novel.

Long cable runs can introduce a voltage drop to the servos.running the servos at the wrong speed can cause them to get hot. Finally, asking the servos to do too much can cause issues (buzzing noise).. best of luck

@@Painless360 Thanks for the reply, I've seen servo power booster for long cable runs, I guess I'll try those next it sounds like long runs with the head tracking load is probably the culprit.

Very well. I waited until the review sample was updated and setup as final versions of would be. Some were in a rush to make flight videos before it was ready... Stay tuned for my video.

    Hi Lee. Great job.
    What Servo do you recommend?
Once again, thank you for all your work and help

They are regular SG90 plastic geared servos, nothing fancy.

@@Painless360And do you have any recommendations for solid pan servo with range of approx 270°?

I've been looking for one myself, but something that I am planning on testing out is the new Walksnail gimbal...

Printing this up now. Thank you.
My only concern is the lead from camera to box, how does this survive being flexed repeatedly in all directions?
