      In Montreal and Toronto certain groups control different commodities. I remember having an issue with a client and I was told "You're a nice guy. My Parents, wife and kids love you, people resect you. Keep being nice, make lots of money and we have enough mean guys for those issues.
      Naming specific groups has always been a big No No there
      Being able to move comfortably with other cultures is an easy way to not only eat great food but build bonds of trust you just can't break regardless of the price.
      I sold Cocaine, marijuana and Hash primarily but anything was available to me.
      Being an empath makes it nearly impossible to betray others since you sense their pain.
      Being Italian also has its advantages. We're passionate about things we love.and.appreciate.

      Again the point I made stands.
      Canadian organized crime operates differently than American. Often where criminals in the States are "loud", Canadian criminals tend to be (but isn't always, let me say that again isn't always) a lot more reserved; quiet in comparison.
      There is also the matter of costs both monetarily and in man hours relative to what it has the potential to accomplish. As it relates to AML (for example) a huge barrier for the American judiciary (including RICO) is a matter of jurisdiction. Even through, for example, INTERPOL it is often years, if not a decade+, to be able to move.
      Hell... the American Judiciary can't even handle the international human trafficking committed by American citizens IN American jurisdictions.
      So again, the FBI prosecutes when it can, if they can.

      You see the most crime the poorer you go, because people become desperate to make it, at any cost, and see no other way. And then once you're in, its hard to escape.

    I was a guest on a podcast a few weeks ago and realized Americans expect to hear names of associates and organizations .Makes sense since so many informants have come forward.
    Canadians can generally fill in the blanks when it comes to which group runs what.
    The sentences for various crimes are much lower in Canada and its easier to pay off the authorities.
    Since there is no statute of limitations getting too specific can have serious consequencess .

I also appreciate the fact that you didn't really hold his feet to the fire during some of his more obvious, well let's just call them subjective or imaginative literary license statements or comments. You certainly could have called him out on any number of topics but you managed to keep the interview moving and in my interpretation, did not embarrass him and yet still managed to get your audience to recognize the points where you were at the very least not in complete agreement or belief. I've been living in Latnam for almost 10 years and that is what I constantly have to explain to people: In Canada, corruption only benefits the rich and powerful. In Latnam, corruption benefits the poor and middle class too. I love corruption in Latnam, it helps people avoid being crushed by the system. People here still have tight knit families, members who work for the government, police, army, etc. and that is how familly members can help other familiars to get themselves out of a thight spot. In Canada, the full power of the corrupt law crushes you, but you have to watch the rich and powerful get away with horrible crimes, and your own family doesn't want to have anything to do with you. No help for "conspiracy theorists" like me who have called the shots 90% accurately for the last 25 years...

      Apparently Canada is and has been the largest money laundering country in the world. The thing is some of it is grey area legal and other goes under the radar, and into off shore shell accounts that can't be accessed. So there has to be proof to incriminate someone.
      If you look at Vancouver real estate it is ALL bought by money laundering money from Hong Kong China. And it is super inflated because of money laundering from China. Where former corrupt goovernment people run to buy up real estate in Vancouver to hide stolen chinese money from Chinas government officials. And guess what?! CanaDUH allows it to happen... displacing its own citizens saying its only gentrification.
      Mexican mafias and south american mafias have now moved into Vancouver just to launder their money and make it grow.

I could not believe how many of these guys there were, my father then explained to me that someone in the hells angels had died and that they were doing a province wide ride from one end to the other in memory of him. its still hard for me to believe just how many there were like a small army. If taking care of the elderly does not start to pay better i might hit them up for job.

    You know... people see organized crime as just crime but I see it differently. I live in a city that had a few small gangs running around and causing trouble and then the Hells Angels moved in... I can tell you right now that on it's face, petty small time crime that is usually done by people with very little actual influence dried up almost overnight. Organized crime really just wants to operate and not cause any trouble that brings attention. My city got a lot safer after the HA moved in, crime will always occur, may as well have someone make sure it never gets out of hand on a regular basis.

    In Canada our rico act is called a gangsterism charge , it's a 14 yr sentence. They use it to convict organized crime figures that's similar to the RICO Act. And I don't know why people say murder charges are easy in Canada if you get found a first-degree murder it's a life sentence saying that. Your first opportunity to get out on parole is 25 years of that sentence and that is no guarantee that after 25 years you do get paroled. Another thing is Vito was not like John Gotti at all first of all veto was more powerful then Gotti he was not flamboyant that would be mom Boucher the leader of the Hells Angels he was like John Gotti it seems like your guests lacks a lot of knowledge on how the criminal World Works in Canada I've only listened to half the podcast and a lot of what he said in my view is completely incorrect

      If you get found guilty of “first degree murder “ are the key words . You nearly always get a chance take a deal of second degree murder. Saves the government money. Parole after a third of the sentence. So 25 years your out after 9 . And 14 years your out after not even 5 years. Canada’s criminal justice system is a joke.

    20 years of guys I personally know and none of them would ever think of writing a book. Zero credibility to this kid. I think he’s done a lot of research and seen too many movies. Both fiction and non fiction.

    I still don’t see how he was laundering funds. And the amount he does say-$30k here or there, is done at every valet company each week. He told a broad story of embezzling and stealing. And he has nothing to show for it now, but could be indicted in the near future bc his ego had him write a tell all at 30 years old, fool

      Hey bud the Prime Minister of Canada get money laundered into his trust fund bank account by the Chinese and other country's foreigners with loads of cold hard wired cash and guess what? Nothing gets done. No investigations, no criminal charges, no jail time. He's obviously well connected huh?
      Nepotism in the goov-ernment is a hell of a corrupt power trip.

    If it were up to me I’d go back to a time like Viking’s lived. Have clans like mc’s controlling parts of the province and protect their communities and give back to the poor. Much better than living under corrupt cops politicians with endless corruption and power!!

    You also gotta remember that there is absolutely _no_ statute of limitations on _any_ crime in Canada. If you robbed a bank and waited 16yrs and told the RCMP they'd arrest you like you had just done that crime so it makes talking about things harder because if the RCMP wants to Jack you up they bloody will.
    I'm also from the Province that he comes from. I came up a few years before he did. I live in a town that's north of the main city and it's a very dark world. We're very respectable and if you want to succeed you don't get flashy and you keep a low profile.
    It's called a _Continuing Criminal Enterprise_ . I believe that's what it's called.

      @@lucidblicky7642 Yeah you're right about that. I just mean if you tell a cop something you did that you didn't get caught for in Canada mind you not the US as I know that in Canada there's no statute of limitations on crimes here but if you've been charged and convicted of the crimes you most definitely can speak freely of them. Absolutely.

    • @OniNoFro
      @OniNoFro 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Yeah a lot of people, including Canadians, don't understand that because we are often shown many elements of American society so they assume if it's like that in America, it's like that here in Canada; not true. There are many cultural similarities but the differences are clear when understood.

    • @NobodysGh0sT
      @NobodysGh0sT 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@OniNoFro I've honestly "busted" guys I've known for a couple years and believed their bullshit stories till they told me that "After 7 years they can't charge you with it." Line. Well one time I was brought in for questioning and I asked a cop straight up Is there a Statute of Limitations on crimes in Canada? The cop told me that no in fact there isn't. Nowadays with cameras even if you aren't _caught_ stealing in the traditional sense from a grocery store if a store employee, manager or owner decided to investigate you - my exes family _all_ stole from the grocery store. Their parents conditioned them to do it and they did it even if we _had_ the money! So my exes Dad would go to Wal-Mart and fill up a shopping cart with 1400$ worth of stuff and sneak over to the McDonald's and then he'd bag up his stuff like he'd already paid and would walk past the greeters and he got away for awhile until they let him keep doing it and watched him on the cameras and didn't charge him for two years. Yeah theft after thinking for 18 months to two years that he got away with it it's crazy how they can jam you up all kinds of ways today with cameras. Her brother lost his mind went J-Cat and robbed a Damn Mac's for PlayStation Network Cards and Cigarettes and some other shit. He was actually suffering from a legit mental illness and he only spent a couple months inside an actual jail. They sent him to the Remand a couple times and then they sent him to a lower tier Pen and the other rest of the idk 7 or 8 months he was gone was all done in a mental ward. He got off lucky with only that little bit of time in that Pen and Remand was enough to scare him and show him he didn't want to be a full time criminal. Poor kid just wanted Fortnite skins and stuff lol.
