--------
Former Bonanno mafia captain Dominick Cicale explains why the Genovese family has always been superior earners compared to other mafia families. Cicale attributes their success to their adherence to old-school traditions and maintaining a low profile. The Genovese family's modus operandi involves putting up numerous buffers to shield their true leaders, ensuring their operations remain clandestine. Cicale also shares insights from his upbringing in the Bronx, a neighborhood teeming with mafia affiliations, albeit without his knowing initially. His father and his uncle were Cicale's first exposures to the criminal world. Ironically, Cicale's close association with the Genovese family started by accident, through his father’s friend Ernie, who groomed him from a young age. Unlike other mafia families, the Genovese’s success lay in their traditional practices and strategic silence, a stark contrast highlighted by their infrequent media presence.
Every time I see a former mob boss on Vlad, I’m like yeah he told😂😂😂😂😂
Besides Joey “I don’t wanna talk about the Mafia” Merlino, what other mobster that Vlad has interviewed has been a boss?
@@MegaBadboy26 right I forgot about him. But technically he isn’t in the mob according to him 😂
He’s not a boss or a soldier let alone a capo or made at all ,just an associate which means he wasn’t in the mob just hit man for them subcontractors for them bottom bottom bottom and not in the mob at all this guy
@@Godismiracles44he was a skipper in the Bonnano family. He went right to the boss.
@@brandonmaryland Nicky Scarfo is also a “good man” 😂
you broke Joey’s promise of not interviewing rats smfh 😂
Such a classic 👌 😂. I don't even want to watch no more mob dudes after him lol. I'm from PA Joey a real one
Then Vlad was like, "I never made that promise" lol. Joey's interview is goated.

These mob interviews are my fav! W
This guy is great on “the connect”
I'm just here for the bit when Vlad asks Dom if he was there that night in Vegas when Pac got killed 😂
ALRIGHT HERE WE GO, welcome to VLADTV! So this is your first time here, so I wanna start in the very beginning. So you were born and raised….

And now, walk me through your 1st murder.

You forgot the okay... ummm... okay...
Thanks for sharing, you’ve inspired me to join the mob and turn informant.
😂😂
Joining the mob with intentions of being an informant is crazy
Beats working in Target 😂😂 be a mob guy for a few yeaes, then sell a book😂😂😂
I see you big dog, don’t ever let anyone tell you that you cannot become a government turncoat and tell on all your folks, ITS YOUR GOD GIVEN RIGHT AS AN AMERICAN HOORAH!!
Ha! great comment, see ya at the social club.
For the love of God someone needs to school Vlad that when he asks a question he needs to pay attention so he doesn’t ask stupid follow up questions. Dom literally explained that it was Guy Campopiano (John “Johnny Echos” Campopiano’s father) Vlad then proceeds to ask Dom “so do you even know who the shooter was?” Vlad needs to be given an award for being the “Dory” of TH-cam podcasts.
I think he really does zero prep now, just gets handed a sheet with questions in order and he wings the rest lol
@@davidmurillo1490At least he doesnt ask every mob guy about Takeshi now. Imagine asking someone who was in thr Mafia about a rapper kid who ratted thr first chance he got
he doesn't even ask questions. he just says "i guess..." and tells them their own story.
@@thedishonestjeffsokol2489 very true
Vlad just wants to talk. There are interviews where the guest barely says anything. Vlad, instead, tells THEM what THEY did in THEIR own life.
He’s not lying about the Genovese. One of the best and most successful Italian restaurants in NY “Parkside” was owned by a known Genovese captain. He’s one of many, they own tons of businesses to this day. Old wealthy men.
Been following Dom since Day 1 on TH-cam. Very proud of him. Wish I had half his business acumen.
Vlad, give me an hourly rate, I'll write up the proper questions for you. It'll keep you from opening wikipedia and mispronouncing names every video.

He mad he ratted
Joey Merlino was a character. I don’t even know that guy then proceeds to tell a story about said guy. 😂
Because Joey is the man and he's stayed solid for his entire life. These other mob guys are rats; they can't stand that Joey is reminding everyone that they're no good, they're liars, they're snitches, and they have no comeback to that.

Bet that's a more common lie that young kids of imprisoned fathers hear than we think
VLAD you’ve done enough mob interviews to know every mob member is a hit man.
Where’s the full interview?
The Gambino crime family was bringing in a billion a year even Sammy said everything was about business in Don Carlo’s outfit
That's because Gambino's era was the peak of the life before RICO indictments, police surveillance technology, cameras everywhere, DNA evidence, and everything else that made getting away with business on the street harder than ever. If he lived to the 1980's, he'd have died in jail doing a 100-year sentence like the rest of the old timers.
He was a boss in a time when the life was in a relative golden era and all those guys were making big money, the bosses were on the street to keep everyone in line, cops were happy to take their payoffs to look the other way, and they were running the unions. Then he named his cousin as boss who had no respect from the guys on the street and forced a schism within the family that led to the Gotti era at the same time that the feds were using RICO and everything else to sweep them off the street.
Gambino was a good boss but he's also overrated; it was easier for everyone to make money if times were good and the mob was running a lot of shows on the street. You see someone like Gigante who ducked the whole Commission Trial by fooling the feds on who was boss and stayed in power for a long, long time which is why the Genovese guys are still the most powerful family. Even their current boss, Bellomo, is on the street and the guy is a ghost. You never see or hear about him because he does it right. Now the Sicilians run the Gambinos after a messy Gotti era.
@@citypopradioFMcrazy thing is bellomo isn’t the real boss .. muscarella is
@@Faku968 That's very debatable but I am certain that the real bosses of the surviving families are emeritus style figures who aren't seen except at home or at their legitimate businesses and street bosses run the day to day. That's the way with the Gambinos too.
We need that Fleece Johnson interview

The Bronx in the 70's was off the hook. Pelham Bay was a place you didnt fool around in. Especially if your werent from that place.
There's a delay between the audio and his lip movements.
At first I thought this was the actor that played Howard hamlin in bcs😅
See he grew up without a Father, yet Black Americans are always stereotyped as the only group. A lot of us do have great Dads!
Yes, but other races not having fathers in their life isn’t nearly as prevalent as it is in the black community.
Almost lost his ankle is crazy lmao
I’m interested to see how Vlad relates to a MOB Boss😂
Dom is a great rapper as well as CEO of EG Vodker.
Italians love the name Dominick lololol
That flat effect and him reading Vlad all the time on his reaction, I would swear he has a psych. diagnosis. I’d almost swear he’s medicated.
So am I right in understanding this that it was Sonny Fran this fight was about

Howard Hamlin 😂
Yeah❤😂🎉
Dom was capin him Ace no joke
Dom is a cool dude
becuz they are tha original family---
Will you ask these mob guys about OJ? where there any ties there ?
Genovese are good… but the Detroit Partnership earns more per capita💯
Oh, it wasn't difficult for the Genovese to be better earners than the other families (with the possible exception of the Gambinos).
The Colombos spent so much time shooting each other that they had barely any time to earn anything. The Lucchese didn't have the power of the Genovese or the Gambinos, and the Bonannos, well... they were the Bonannos, not the sharpest knives in the drawer.
White HitMan outta Jail on VladTV 😅😂😂
Hey yo, badabing, badaboom
Guy talks like he’s got a mouth full of jell-o pudding
talk about respecting others .while providing Gans and pawn Shops along with 7 11.
You could only leave your doors open in the white areas in the Bronx 70's and 80's. Lol
Yet they had all the crime. He just described something I’ve never experienced living in a Black neighborhood. Kids can get hurt anywhere.
It's about self-love and respect for yourself and your communities! I always respected these goombahs for that shit!
However, I'm of Haitian descent and I grew up in an enclave in Flatbush, Brooklyn it was similar in that we also took pride in our neighborhood and protected it as well.
If you walked through Parkside Ave during the 1970s through the 1980s acting like you were going to be a problem, you would end up in the trunk of a car in Canarsie!

Yo, all these so-called thugs and gangster yapping like this is absolutely corny af. The real stay silent
Joey went on for a hilarious interview and he's stayed solid his whole life. He didn't know nothing, see nothing, and only read about what Vlad was asking him in the papers. The rest of these guys are indeed rats.
This guy is as real as they come. So was Joey merlino and Sammy the bill. Youre believing in fantasies

Vlad's inability to follow a simple narrative is alarming. Guy! the guy who shot him his name was Guy!
Garbage truck in ny mafia? No more questions
Wasnt this the guy in sopranos in that film they made 💀😂
Clever 😂😂
Gambinos made the most money and the most power until Gotti became a public figure. Then the Genovese family went from 3 to 1 because Donnie Brasco destroyed the Bonnanos a little before Gotti became boss.
Nope. The Genovese were always the most powerful and they still are and everybody from Michael Franceze to John Pennisi, neither of who were in that family, admit it.
Hitman!? C’mon man, stop saying such nonsense. Former Mob Captain…that’s good enough. No need to get all crazy.
