Great job, looks so much better brushed, I’m about to do this on my G-Shock GMW-B5000, it’s a brand new watch which I love but I really hate the high polish on the case/lugs so I’m going to do this, bit nervous but i reckon it will be ok, thanks for video 👍🏻

I use the back side of a heavy duty sponge. They are meant to be used for brushing steel pans so win/win. And if you give the strap a soft polish with a Mototool or Dremel it will shine even more.

@@HeartofTexasArmory nice video thanks for sharing.
I do a lot of this type of stuff.
      Some comments:
      1. As the other chap said, always finish with a bit of autosol polish and some gentle strokes. You can use normal A4 paper for this step with the polish. Cut to size.
      2. The finish you have on the watch case is actually not brushed. It’s a satin finish. And the finish you (kinda) have to your bracelet is also a satin finish. Brushed is when the lines are all straight, joined and very distinctive. Think AP royal oak bezel for brushed.
      3. I would have taped off the existing links that were already satin finished and only brushed the center links. You can use painters tape or thermal tape. You will then get a two toned finish for your bracelet.
      4. If anyone screws up, instead of more crazy hard strokes with the scotch brite pad, first use some autosol metal polish to removed the existing scratch lines, and then start again.
      5. To keep the lines nice and even, use some double sided tape on a piece of wood. Place the bracelet on the double sided tape to secure it. Next put the pad or sandpaper etc on a flat table. Secure it to the table. Now, place the wood and bracelet on the sandpaper, and use a black marker pen to trace the two sides on the pard or paper.
Finally, brush the bracelet against the pad/paper with the same pressure and direction.
The finish will be much nicer.
      Hope this helps others.
      Best wishes from Singapore

The problem with this method is that the ends of each polished link, which are below the surface he is brushing, will remain polished. You will have to curve the bracelet and brush each curved side, which is is hard to do.
