Beautiful! I can't waitttttttttttttttttttttt It's driving me crayyyyzayyyy. 1 note. I did let all my oncs dry out for weeks cracker dry. It was an accident. They put on tons of new roots and new growth. Way more than the ones I had been babying. Who knew.

SOME can be really tough and relatively drought tolerant....but not all! Thanks for watching!

Having sold perfume in the 80s, I had to smile at your description of this orchid’s fragrance. I can still smell YSL scents in my mind.

It is SO hard trying to describe a scent! But here's to 80's perfume counters!

@@helloplantloversjust stopping back because my Sharry Baby is blooming. It’s autumn in the San Francisco Bay Area, and my plant is exploding with blooms.
Your scent description made me smile all over again. Thanks for your delightful videos!

This is a great video. I was not aware that The Sharry Baby preferred to be slightly root bound. 😊

Happy New Year! Thank you for your informative and entertaining videos. As a newbie orchid grower I've really been enjoying them. It's great to be able to find some information closer to home. I'm a "plasic pot with extra ventilation holes" kind of girl, lol, but I hide them inside terracotta pots for looks. Can I ask where do you buy the mycrorrhizal fungi from?

Thanks for watching! I just googled it to find an Australian supplier and ordered it on line. The product will all be the same it will just be who’s local to you and the volume. The measurement suggestions were a bit confusing for me so it just put a tiny sprinkle in the medium and hope for the best!

I just bought this plant! I live in Alabama (US) and I live in apartment with a SW window. Would this survive better indoors where it’s ~65-70F w a fan on or outside ? Love this video! Also I have a plastic pot with slits throughout the pot.

Hi there - Oncidiums can take warmth if they are watered correctly - and those temps you mentioned are quite mild. I'm not sure what your outdoor temps would be but mine can certainly take our summer temps outside if it's in the right light and watered correctly. Good luck!

Thanks for watching! Well I feed mine fish emulsion! I guess with all things maybe just dilute it quite a bit. But it's all natural and very nutritious!

Anyone know where to purchase these? I had one in my Greenhouse? We had a sudden frost event last winter where temps dropped from 50F above to -50F in a few hours overnight. Many orchids were set back, but this one shows no signs of life yet 😢

Oh that's terrible!! I'm presuming you're in the States? I know many of the Hawaiian growers have it for sale, like akatsukaorchid.com/

Thanks for watching! There you go - a generic all purpose slow release fertilizer. They also make an orchid specific one. Good luck!

Hi there - you can get it on line as there are many brands out there and sure to be a good range where ever you are. You might also find it in garden centres & nurseries. I get mine here: biostim.com.au/shop/myco-gold/?gclid=CjwKCAjwj42UBhAAEiwACIhADpOAosj5EJ04ar_9g7i9JRnNj-tSRArgJNjR8S1w0PG0MhY4-2Qo-RoCnzsQAvD_BwE
