I would go for Carcharodontosaurus. Spinosaurus is bigger and heavier but he has a frail body that can't fall on his back or on side. His bite force would be like a modern crocodile but his teeth were mostly conical to grab slippy fish,his claws were his real weapons and his mouth and skull were not designed for killer bites. But animals kill with their teeth,not their claws and Carcharodontosaurus even with a weak bite would do more damage on the spino than a bite from the spino on him. I don't think an animal of the size of a Spinosaurus would be able to kill a large predator who could take down large prey swipping him to death.

The Charcaro seems to have a more sturdy body able to take more hits and for his size he was more powerfull than Spino. More recent studies also say T-Rex was also heavier than Spino with more massive bone structure.
Maybe the Spinos teeth were not designed for killing large prey and doesn't have devasting bite force, but still in a fight with another dinosaur those long pointy teeth could inflict some deep puncture wounds

It appears I'm late to the party, But I will say spino would probably win 60% - 65%. My reasoning to this? Well, spino wont simply stand still and let the car char bite it. it's going to stand up on its two legs and slash at the car char putting up too 2 tons of force in a strike Wich could fracture the car char's skull with a lucky shot. How, you may ask. when the spino swings it will essentially toss half of its own weight behind a strike. this means the spino will be able to stop it from getting too close. yes, car char being more agile may manage to get pass the claws, but it will still have to get pass the spino's jaws. Now spino may not have a very strong bite, but the grip of its teeth means if it bites it won't let go.

U could argue that the range for charchar length is larger so it has a lower average length but individually charchar is just as Long as mapu if not a bit longer

The Carcharodontosaurus is a very UNDERRATED theropod! It was, I believe, the 3rd largest and tallest theropod (after the Spinosaurus and Giganotosaurus), and was an apex predator during its time. Now, in this fight, the Carcharo would definitely have the advantage on land. If the Spino enters the water, the Carcharo would leave it and go away. I know that the Carcharo's bite force was weak (compared to other theropods'), but it had very sharp teeth that could slice through flesh like a knife with butter. The Carcharo probably had the sharpest teeth of any theropod to compensate for its lack of strength in its jaws.
I think carchar would have been a better jw3 villain, maybe we could make the t-rex who died an allo instead, but I feel like there would've been no controversy
I really dont think spino would be able to bite down hard enough to pull anything nearly as large as a carchar. Im also not sure how well spino would even be able to cause damage with its unique jaw shape specialized for catch small things. I frankly dont think spino would have really be able to kill another large theropod, at least not with a bite. With its claws perhaps it could do some pretty good damage, but its bite would really cause mostly non-lethal flesh wounds
Actually i want to expand on this more. Conical teeth are only good at one thing, holding onto pray. Look at other animals that only have conical teeth like alligators, crocodiles, boas and pythons…their tactic is to bite down and hold onto the pray. They do not cut or tear through flesh, as that would be counter productive to trying to hold on. The narrow jaw of spino also means that it grabs onto less surface area, paired with its odd shape its going to have even less contact to hold on with. Large animals would be able to just pull free from its bite, or the spino would pull its own jaw off of the other animal trying to pull on it, it simply does not have the bite force or jaw design to be able to hold on to such large animals. Conical teeth also just make puncture wounds, with minimal other damage to the bite area, unlike in this example carchar with teeth designed to cut and shred flesh…those would be removing chunks of flesh from its target which is a far more serious injury than some puncture wounds alone. Odds are, faced with fighting another large predator spino would just flee in the water and avoid the conflict all together.

@@Annihilatr_ I searched in Google and mapu had a length of 10-13m and charchar had a length of 8-14m so by the max end charchar is actually slightly longer than mapu. U could argue that the range for charchar length is larger so it has a lower average length but individually charchar is just as Long as mapu if not a bit longer

The Carcharodontosaurus is a very UNDERRATED theropod! It was, I believe, the 3rd largest and tallest theropod (after the Spinosaurus and Giganotosaurus), and was an apex predator during its time. Now, in this fight, the Carcharo would definitely have the advantage on land. If the Spino enters the water, the Carcharo would leave it and go away. I know that the Carcharo's bite force was weak (compared to other theropods'), but it had very sharp teeth that could slice through flesh like a knife with butter. The Carcharo probably had the sharpest teeth of any theropod to compensate for its lack of strength in its jaws.
You are right, except that the Giganotosaurus had larger teeth (Carcha=15 cm/ Giga=20 cm) and they must have been also, or even more, sharp and sharp.

I really dont think spino would be able to bite down hard enough to pull anything nearly as large as a carchar. Im also not sure how well spino would even be able to cause damage with its unique jaw shape specialized for catch small things. I frankly dont think spino would have really be able to kill another large theropod, at least not with a bite. With its claws perhaps it could do some pretty good damage, but its bite would really cause mostly non-lethal flesh wounds
Actually i want to expand on this more. Conical teeth are only good at one thing, holding onto pray. Look at other animals that only have conical teeth like alligators, crocodiles, boas and pythons…their tactic is to bite down and hold onto the pray. They do not cut or tear through flesh, as that would be counter productive to trying to hold on. The narrow jaw of spino also means that it grabs onto less surface area, paired with its odd shape its going to have even less contact to hold on with. Large animals would be able to just pull free from its bite, or the spino would pull its own jaw off of the other animal trying to pull on it, it simply does not have the bite force or jaw design to be able to hold on to such large animals. Conical teeth also just make puncture wounds, with minimal other damage to the bite area, unlike in this example carchar with teeth designed to cut and shred flesh…those would be removing chunks of flesh from its target which is a far more serious injury than some puncture wounds alone. Odds are, faced with fighting another large predator spino would just flee in the water and avoid the conflict all together.
