It’s cool that the metal patch fight had a diff gimmick than the og fight, but yeah... still a pretty soulless battle in terms of music and set pieces.

Banjo Tooie: The only game where you can fight a huge, sentient, inflatable dragon by flying into the air and using your handy backpack bird to shit eggs on him in a circus tent.

Ok in nuts and bolts they should’ve just made mr patch an Easter egg instead of a boss fight (if you can call it that) cause the original was fun and cool and he had fun attacks but nuts and bolts he just floats there
@@willycheez7218 Yes in 2008 at launch and again when it came out in the Rare Replay bundle a few years back just to make sure it wasnt my highschool mindset making me think it was bad. and upon second playthrough... it's still bad.
Poor Mr.Patch if Banjo and Kazooie would have been a bit nicer shurely they could have talked things out. After all Mr.Patch just felt threatened wich is understandable given all of his patches/previous injuries and him being an inflatable baloon thing. And in the newer game it seemes he was forced into that possition being chained up and the metal one seemed also kinda out of place....but maby he just wanted to be left alone and surched for a way to be more sturdy so to not live in fear anymore.
might need to change that to "Devolution" cause the way Mr. Patch's fights is so drastic and lack luster in Nuts and Bolts. turned from a giant fight to "pop the balloon children~". there's no skill here, just overkill the boss. Tooie felt like an actual fight with how you need to shoot the many patches, avoid his attacks and the spring gloves on the ground. the more i see and remember this game, the more pissed off i get! fuck this game! Rare has been dead since this game and i'm glad Playtonic is it's own company that lives on as Rare 2!
Wait, why is normal patch in nuts and bolts is tied down but metal patch isn't? Edit: I come back years later to ask, how is a inflatable metal and rubber at the same time?
Renato Ramos de Oliveira Correia I know it’s a joke, I’d laugh if it were true but even if we don’t count nuts and bolts we still have Banjo Kazooie grunty’s revenge and banjo pilot. But I don’t think there’s a mr patch fight in those
Kazooie's 'voice acting' seems really unenthusiastic. The relaxed voices makes sense for the straight bear of the series but for our sharp-beaked heroine? It communicates that they just don't give a fuck coming from a character with no filter.

Mr. Patch is a joke in this game! They took a pretty tough boss from the original and took the bite away! WHERE'S THE HEART!
