Everyone: This car sucks, you can’t give it more horsepower!
This car: 949 HP.
Don't get me wrong,949 horsepower is a lot,but at least a couple of engine upgrades would have been nice,like maybe upgrading the block,or air filter,instead of just anti lag,which doesn't do anything
the fact that 950HP is on the smaller end of what these engines make IRL is mind boggling. my favorite drag racing boi Red Demon currently makes over 2000hp AWD. now the only problem with that is the rest of the drivetrain.
Underpowered compared to other cars we have in this game
In real life 950hp is very impressive and very fast. In a game where you need to be pushing 1300hp+ to be competitive, 950 is just straight up not enough.
Try playing the game. You go up against 1,200-1,400 horsepower cars in S2.
I hate how people who play games like fh5 where every car can have like 1800hp who because of that think like 500hp is "nothing" or "not enough"
for me, B-A class is the sweet spot. horsepower is overrated as fuck
I've noticed that torque is usually more important in B/A class, making the cars more responsive and sometimes easier to handle
Dude right and they will swap the same motor into each car and make them all perform exactly the same which is fucking boring.
I love racing A Class for this reason. S1 is about as far as I like to go. Not that I can't do S2 or X but it's for more of a challenge than it is fun.
You have to compare it to other cars in the game. This car isn't bad by any means by it just doesn't stand out any more than the other 3 cars that we got this month and you can't even do as much with it. It's a cool car by why would I use this over the Sesto, CCGT, Mclaren Senna, CLK GTR, F40c, Molser, FXXK EVO, or any of the other time attack/race built cars. It's good just not good enough.

@@thephrontist93you are also forgetting that this time attack car is almost 13 years old. Today's time attack cars are pushing way more horses, less weight and hell of a lot down force.

Lack of horsepower? it has 950 stock, weighs nothing, and can be upgraded to slick tires. Also, you do realise the developers may have not been able to give it horsepower upgrades as the people who built car might have said to them they can't as part of the licensing, its still a cool car, yes it's a shame we can't give it more power but make it sound crap when it really isn't.
Most time attack cars these days are pushing out about 900-1400 horsepower
Its already built why build it more

It's weird how I have the most polar opposite feeling towards this car. I freaking love it. It's my favorite car in all Forza games combined. Evo and RX-7 are my favorite cars and it's like my birthday

Same Brother, I love this car. It's a hill climb/time attack racer that's why it's super grippy and handles well. Not sure why it gets slated as it is a top tier car. I bet that you could smash S1 races in this with the amount of grip this thing has.
@@ianinnes5923 I went into online with it and if there aren't too many straights it leaves every car in the dust, even the aston martin valkyrie which is basically the F1 car for the road. There is a saying that adding too much power to the car could hinder it's performance and I agree with it

By this logic, every car in S2 that isn't a Brabham, BttB, Sesto Elemento FE, or Viper AE sucks because none of them can realistically compete with them. The Evo doesn't suck. It's fun to drive and is showing love to a car that wouldn't otherwise get much attention. Just because you can't sweat with it online doesn't mean it sucks. Doesn't help that most tracks in FH5 suck because they're just straight lines for the most part with a couple of slight turns.
It sucks online and it sucks at setting laps, there's no need to sugar coat it. You can find it fun and I would understand why but the car objectively sucks.

But if you take it to the sprint down near the bridge just after the abandoned airport, then nope - other cars would go faster as its mostly straight

Yes, the evo is quite good at what it does. But you are never ever seeing any sort of competitive ability with the car and that's what matters most in FH.
@@Tougedrift Take it to the place it's actually meant to be, which is short twisty tracks, and it doesn't suck. The problem is the game doesn't promote short tracks. It's all just straight lines which favor power builds
@@JustSomeGuyWithNoMaidens I don't think the issue is that it is a grip car, I see the GT3/GTE cars online all the time and they are absolutely anemic in straight lines. The issue lies in the fact that it's stuck in the middle of S2 which limits what you can use it for. I think it is a fun car but it's not even close to being good at what it's supposed to do, especially compared to similar cars.

It really doesn’t suck. In real life this car is extremely fast. But forza sweats won’t even look at a car if it makes less than 1000hp.

@@diamondworrior2401 because this car cant reach the top of s2 class, it’s completely useless for online racing. it wouldve been nice if it had either power upgrades on the stock engine, weight reduction, or engine swaps
they couldve done any of those to make the car better but no, they have to restrict it to 950hp, which holds it back in the horizon sense and prevents it from ever being useful. not even the drift build is good either because it also lacks power
it’s a nice car to just cruise around in driving around tight roads and making lap times n such to just mess around and looks cool
If only you could give it more horsepower or make it lighter, then it would be awesome... but 950 hp with that weight, despite sounding insane IRL, it's not enough for S2 class in the game.
Not every car has to be competitive, at the end of the day fh5 at its base in a single player game
This Evo may be nuts, but time attack has cars that are even more ridiculous. The first car that immediately comes to mind is if anyone even remembers/played NFS Shift 2 Unleashed will probably know about that bonkers Scion tC.

It’s literally useless. Can’t compete in s2, and can’t be downgraded to s1. At least it’s cool but it sucks for racing

Tried it in Rivals and it was a Beast!! I'm excited to unlock it despite the missing upgrades..
Crazy as soon I saw you couldnt tune it I knew the community wouldnt be happy with it as everyone been waiting for that.
This car is exactly what I call "driven/built by some famous people but with so few customizations", in which way so many cool cars are almost useless.
he doesn't do the one thing this car will dominate at and then calls it bad...

This is a Time Attack car. It's meant to be grippy and fast through the corners on smaller, tighter tracks. You took it on a big circuit with long straights, then off-roading, and then drifting (in AWD for some reason; it "only" has 950 HP, you knew that it would still be too "slow"/grippy for drifting in AWD, but did it anyway; put RWD on it and drift it again). Take it on the Volcano Sprint or a tight custom track and then rate it. Lol.
The problem is that there are cars in this class that easily outperform the evo even in the evo's natural habitat. If it had even 1100 horsepower or more, it would smash records due to the grip available to you
@@DJEevee257 yeah, unfortunately the stupid-fast cars are the "meta". I wish the S2 class performance/HP was more reasonable/realistic.
The problem is with a car that's this high up in S2. 950 horsepower IRL is crazy, but it ain't shit compared to a bunch of the other cars in this game. Every car with the 6.2 V8 swap can build more power than this thing.
You speak of the EVOs being nerfed, which I do agree on, but in general a lot of the 4 cylinder engines are nerfed in the game. The one that bothers me the most is the Honda K20 (2.0L I4 VVT in the game), which maxes out at 719hp. In real life a fully built stroked turbo K20 can easily make 900-1000hp.
What bothers me even more is they haven’t bothered to really change the power output on those k series since the first or second horizon. Another car is the eclipse. 4g63 capable of 2000+ depending on use but only has like 600 ingame. And the only way to make more power is to swap for that stupid rally engine
finally, a car that is just cool that doesn't need to be the best at anything. Best new car in years.

As a time attack car, it would likely work better on technical circuits with lots of corners and less straightaways. However, it might not be enough to overtake the meta S2 cars on the leaderboard.

Honestly I don't ever give a shit about new cars will be good at online racing or not,as long as they're cool & interesting cars or have good customization options that will be a good car for me. Not every car have to be good or op at online racing. Having cool cars to cruising around are a good thing as well

It's definitely disappointing. 950HP is no joke, especially for an Evo. But with Forza Horizon being Forza Horizon. TA cars and certain other cars need to be power scaled up to get the true and real sens of how insane this car is in real life.
People need to stop complaining This is a time attack car. Of course this car won’t have a good top speed coz it’s got tons of downforce.

Fun fact the evo still does compete I went to time attack in Australia a couple years ago where it competed
it may not have a lot of power which 950 is a lot, if it had above 1000 it may not have had the crazy handling it could maybe be good but most cars when put insane amounts of hp they started getting understeer. my opinion

The only thing I would’ve wanted from this car is maybe like turbo and intercooler and maybe engine black like what the higher horsepower cars have where you can only put like three upgrades but they give you decent horsepower and I’m not saying make it like those cars were the engine upgrades to give you another 800 hp. I’d be happy if this car was like 13 1400.
The car doesn't suck. The PI rating sucks and is way off. No parts/tuning options > can't tune it for a decent S2. Can't decrease it for a decent P1.
It’s really damn frustrating that lack of upgradeability renders it literally useless for online races.
Of course, the car is pretty much maxed out already of the box but come on playground games, 'realism' isn’t horizons number one priority, so why not throw in some more engine upgrades, so we can enjoy this car in a competitive state for online races..

I love how all the comments completely and entirely miss the point of the video. He's not complaining about the lack of horsepower. He's complaning about the fact you cannot use this car at all. You cannot race it (cannot be S2 OR S1), you cannot drag race it, you cannot offroad it, you cannot drift it, you cannot do anything. It just sits in your garage gathering dust. The least they could have done is give an option to add weight or remove horsepower to make it S1. But nope. The devs straight up do not want you to use this car at all.
Tuned right it makes a pretty good drift car, it’s just about the only thing you can do with it.

I'll be honest, i kinda saw it coming when the update dropped. Having a TA car like this one doesn't make it any less interesting, but given the balance of the game when it comes to car classes, it indeed feels like an outcast
That won't stop me from getting it, and driving the hell out of it 😂
I think at the least they should've added in engine swaps like the Racing 7.2L V8 to help max it out in S2 class, that way both the purists and those who want to unleashed its potential in the game are happy with it. But at the end of the day, it's supposed to be enjoyed as it is.
The fact it doesn't have any power upgrades is weird. 950 while mega for when this car was built is now kinda slow. The Tilton Evo IX, an Australian built time attack Evo is making 1200 hp on a 2,2l 4G63. The current king of WTAC, the Porsche RP968 is making close to 1500 hp in race trim and the engine in it is apparently capable for 2000+ HP and both of those cars have even more downforce than this Evo. It's a cool car but just wish more could be done to as from what it seems, 1200+ is more than doable on that engine in real life so why can't we also do it in the game?

The car is actually a beast, sure if you want to do everything like drifting, speed zones, off-road etc, then prob not, but if you say only do road racing and street racing, then it's a beast for sure.

It's worse cornering than the max S2 998 cars like, Viper AE, Valkyrie AMR, F50 GT, CCGT, Huayra R and SCV12.

As someone who mostly drives stock cars in the game, even I have the basic understanding that this car is good but NOT COMPETITIVE. I don't understand why everyone is mad about Nick stating the obvious

So I got this car today okay I sadly disappointed with the upgrading part of it but until I took it for a drive so I upgrade the drive train and suspension on it and it didn't make a huge difference. But.... I think what we can take from it is that it's an awesome sounding car it's launch control with out the anti lag upgrade personally sounds insane I think that the forza development team should take this cars "anti lag"sound as inspiration and add it to the game.

This car is amazing, I don’t care about power, it’s one of the most satisfying sounding cars in the game, the bangs between gears and doing launch control is unmatchable

At first i thought you were exaggerating, but the lack of horsepower/swaps (less or more hp than stock), make it not fall well into any class which is a killer for its allure. Super cool car regardless and drives amazing, but its cant REALLY be used for anything competitively, unlees special restrictions were put on a competition.
