i actually saw the supervan 4 in person at goodwood for the f24 finals. it was absolutely crazy in person but u get to see how it is kinda not really a van anymore as the rear is fully sculpted for that "tear drop" shape. it was really cool none the less to be in the presence of such an increadible monster tho.
Funny fact this is TECHNICALLY the FIFTH supervan as the 1 of 1 supersport van was a super slow 3.2 5 pot transit made in 2011 which is in forza! It technically counts lol
Fun fact: in 1965 Ford shipped some brand new Ford mustangs (unknown on how many exactly) to England for a straight axle 4WD swap but it would cost an extra $500 per car to make a profit so Ford decided to pass on the idea. Currently there is 1 left and is located in a museum in England
They couldve totally added all of the other car modes the supervan has, by using the mode selector we already have just press down on the left stick and it goes down the list and then at the bottem it just goes to the top! They coulve done that but still we cant complain it is a 2000 hp van at the end of the day
The 500 comes from a false advertisement to make it sound a lot more powerful and yes it was still more powerful than the gt350 and it did have seatbelts and no safety features but had suspension from ahead of its time being the ultimate muscle car
1968 was the first year seatbelts were required by law in the United States. However, after some research, all fastback and coupe Mustangs had seatbelts standard since 1966. But, they could be ordered on any model of Mustang all the way back to 1965.
The reason the Viper engine is an option is because Shelby worked on the 1st Viper. Not too sure why the Diesel motor was an option though. Maybe there was a diesel he secretly worked on?
There are a few issues with the Supervan 4. First, its not really a van, at least the others had some potential for van-like load space, this one removes it all for teardrop aero. Second, the E-Transit will be largely a flop compared to how ubiquitous the proper Transit is for every application, since we already know EVs have a range problem when you increase the load its carrying, an ICE's efficiency goes up until it peaks at WOT at peak torque, but an EV drops in range linearly as load goes up, so while an empty Transit might get, I don't know, maybe 28% thermal efficiency, that goes up to perhaps 35% to 38% at peak torque RPM and near WOT in highway cruise at maximum cargo capacity, so an empty range of 800 miles becomes maybe 550 to 600 with double the empty weight, while an E-Transit with maybe 400 miles of range drops to 200 at most at double its empty weight. Its why I like hybrids, they turn on and off the generator and when its on, its being ran at peak torque WOT until the battery and/or capacitors are at high enough power. Its not so much the electric drive, that only helps low speed efficiency, but rather the peak efficiency power band being used. Its why my engineering knowledge tells me that SkyActiv-X with its 58% peak torque WOT thermal efficiency plus capacitor hybrid drive could mean a car that accelerates faster than a Model S, maybe not the Plaid, and will have a range that surpasses 1000 miles with a decently sized fuel tank.
@@PCTutorialz WOT = Wide Open Throttle, its when the butterfly throttle valve allows the maximum airflow, nearly 90 degrees turned from its resting position. Usually when the throttle pedal is touching the floor or firewall, or otherwise pushed against its endstop. Edit: What is meant by "WOT at peak-torque" is that the engine is bogged down to the limit and no further, the maximum usable power the engine can output since peak horsepower is a function of engine speed, and at that peak torque point at full throttle the engine is at its peak efficiency as pumping losses are minimized both by the minimum restriction in the intake and the low engine speed when the flame front of each combustion stroke is able to reach the piston before it reaches bottom dead center, which depends on the kind of engine it is and what fuel its running, higher octane actually means lower rpm in this case since octane is a slow combusting hydrocarbon while heptane is a faster burning one, the former to offset the latter one which is the main hydrocarbon that gasoline is made, formerly known as septane in the older naming scheme. With a higher compression ratio the flame front is faster once again, which needs more octane to slow it back down and prevent knocking, and the same happens with any forced induction as the higher intake charge pressure also speeds up the flame front, as the flame front moves faster in denser air. Anyways, I got carried away once again, but WOT at peak-torque is the point at which the various sources of power loss in an ICE are at their minimum as a sum, hence why the engine is making its peak torque at that lower RPM. A 2008 Corvette for example makes its peak torque at about 4650 RPM, so at or below that point is where the vehicle cruises best, but in such a fuel-hungry engine its better to lug it even lower due to tradeoffs with fuel consumption rising with RPM despite it being able to use that power more efficiently. Its notable that if you're aiming for the very maximum power you can get out of an engine, you gear it down and run it at peak horsepower, since the torque you get out of it then is higher than its peak torque RPM, but the tradeoff is that your fuel efficiency absolutely tanks and the engine's operational life drops drastically. Damn it I got lost again. You get my point, right?
I’ve heard that too but not sure how accurate that is, I’ve heard 350 steps as well. Also heard the gt500 was called that bc it was 500lbs heavier than the gt350(kinda true especially race weight).
The E Transits actually suck horrible. Like 260hp from the electric motors, massive heavy van like 7-9k pounds, with 120 miles of range full charge. Our dealership watched the Ford Detroit auction last week. Every E Transit that went on the auction block was a no-bid / no-sale
pretty sure the van has just broken a record at Bathurst for a fastest lap. cant remember if it was for a category or all time. but ive got a short posted on it doing slme fly bys 😂😂

No idea if this has been said, but the "Eleanor" was not part of the Shelby Mustang line but a Movie car, that where then custom built as a replica car by a third party company that in honesty just the worst, because there is also a 72 Mustang Fastback that was in the first "Gone in 60 seconds" from the 70's that was also named "Eleanor" and looks nothing like the one people are more aware of.
Supervan 1 was scrapped.. so it might be a little hard to scan that model in... but i hope we get supervan 2 though (also the Elanor was NOT made by Ford.. it was actually made for a movie which i cant remember the name of at the time of writing this comment)

Shelby GT500 what a beautiful vintage car.
The Shelby is definitely a thumbs-up, but would've been 69,000% cooler if they had included the Eleanor body kit.

Welcome to Fordza Horizon 5, as it seems like Ford got a lotta love with this update
