Can't believe a car guy doesn't know about Westin Champlin and his diesel Smokestang. Used to be an ecoboost mustang that he swapped in a 5.9 Cummins and now has a full fledged Cummins race engine.
This is huge. One of the best things Forza has done in a while.

@@conordemmery1757 One car is considered to be the best thing that ever happened in FH5? The bar is really down low it seems. Besides this car will just collect dust in everyone's garage as all the other cars. FH5 desperately needs new tracks, improvement to eventlab or a proper competitive, ranked multiplayer. Without it its just a car collecting game
Just to save everyone's time, this car and the Raptor were recentley blacklisted from the Auction House, so you can't buy them anymore

They’re very different cars though. It makes sense for them to be two different cars in game as they are in real life
It's literally a kit that gives you the same width as the base car...probably just 1/2mm in the front, and virtually 0mm in the rear.
Rear wing is off the gt3 more or less. It's a lot closer to the stock car, and if anything, slightly closer to the gt3 due to wing and front end lights in the grille.
This is no "crazy top tier version" in the slightest....crazy how the same people going crazy over a car know what seems like nothing about it. Any bronze wheeles stock width Mustang with a chassis mounted spoiler & side ventage is a *GTD* apparently 😂
I got the 2024 Mustang and the SVT Cobra early and boy, they are amazing. This one has the 777 Performance bodykit and the SVT Cobra has the Saleen bodykit and they look amazing. At first I was kinda disappointed with the update but after seeing the customization they added for the unreleased cars this is probably my favourite update. I really hope they give us the Mustang Dark Horse and the GTD one, specially in the next update since it is going to be race themed like the name (Apex All Stars) suggests.

I managed to snag one of these and the Raptor. The Mustang is great in A and S1 with the bodykit, the Raptor R is basically a worse regular Raptor in A CC
That's kinda funny, iirc it's the same story with the regular '21 Bronco and the Raptor Bronco. The R looked well done in the monthly rivals event though. I'm definitely gonna use it, at least once

I was lucky getting mine. Two showed up at the same time and I went for the one furthest down on the auction house. Everyone else goes for the top one

I used to be one of the person that puts unreleased cars in AH, i have to say this only thing : they dont block them, its just either very rare or depending on demand, the SVJ had a very high demand so does that Mustang. I sold a couple of Kona N too before the date

Idk what to feel about this, sure customization... fun. But this means we likely wont get the GTD as a whole with handling it deserves
Eh... that's not necessarily true. Yeah, they put a body kit into the game that certainly looks like the GTD, but that doesn't mean they won't add it in the future. You've got to remember that the car isn't out yet. The allocation process hasn't even started, so it'll likely be another year or two before we'll see it in a racing game. That is, unless it's a cover car and Playground Games are given special access (like the AMG One, for instance).
I wasn't a Ford guy until the other muscle car brands decided they were going to throw away their V8's and Ford actually said we will definitely keep the mustang and the soul of a muscle car "the V8" alive. Massive respect to Ford 👍
13:10 Ford didn’t make a production diesel Mustang but a TH-camr named Westen Champlin did diesel swap a Mustang and it makes 1500hp. There is no hood installed due to the height of the engine.
The bodykit is actually the Mustang GT3 as it has the big diffuser and as well as the huge wing whereas the GTD has a smaller wing
