Woodturning Nails?

- Sketchy...just not a good idea...but I did it anyway! I cast nails in a resin block, then cut it up into little chunks on my table saw and miter saw. Then pieced them together and combined it with beautiful Jatoba, or Brazilian Cherry.

heartfang21 well seeing as though soft woods ware down the edge, I’d say aluminium does too, but I suppose it depends on if you consider normal bluntening of the tools harm.

@@jameshunter6121 It's more the thin edge gets bent over with time, same way your knifes go dull cutting meat and veggies. It's not like it is chipping the tip of a chisel.
The blue resin really enhances this cool “temperature” effect.

I’ve seen a lot of things get cast in resin and turned on a lathe. Never have I been so excited and terrified for the turner!!! Respect doesn’t even come close to the mastery required to TURN NAILS....Truly top shelf plz be careful
