I think Kookaburras are my favourite birds. Although our local Rosella's and Green Parrots are not far off my other favourites. The Parrot's colours are magnificent and I love the way they interact with each other. Kookaburras are just so likeable personality wise. My heart always flutters with delight when I see one.

I’ve done a bit of research and it appears that the male kookaburra has blue accents on his wing feathers and darker blue on the tail feathers. The female is usually larger and has less blue on the rump than the male. I can’t see its tail and rump but I think I can see some blue accents on the wing feathers. Thank you for reminding me never to assume anything.
This made me cry. It looks exactly like the view and old house my grandma had. Sadly last year she passed away from cancer. We use to feed kookaburras on the deck. I really miss her ❤
