Thanks for the tip... I also was looking at adding the pedals in the same area... the curve in that area had me stumped on how to do it... pedals would give added bracing when setting hooks....lol. Appreciate you taking the time to do the video.
Real nice video !!! I've got the same kayak but am thinking about sliding foot pedals/rails to steer a stern-mounted trolling motor. Do you think it could work? The hull "curvature" has me a bit concerned for a sliding rail. You seem to be a sharp, problem-solver type of guy ... so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. PS -This particular kayak might also make running the steering cables forward a bit tricky but I think I can figure that one out myself. .
Thanks for watching....that's a mod I am hoping to do this year I've been thinking of using motorcycle brake cables and run them through the hull certainly wouldn't be the the cheapest route but I would get them in stainless steel and that way the hull is protected from the cable
Steering cables THRU the hull... that's what I was thinking too .... just like those expensive kayaks that already come that way when purchased. I'll definitely keep a look out for that video when you do it.
I need to find someone to do this for me. Im 6'1 and have the same issue. Im too afraid to damage the kayak so i definately need to find someone to do this.
I fully understand that for sure. If you're not willing to put holes in the kayak you could try putting straps from the seat to use as stirrups And you could adjust them to whatever length you want
@@summertonfishing119 you know i never thought of that. I am going to find someone that knows hows to do it. Im in Charleston so im sure there are tons of kayak places here lol

I have the Outlaw as well...
Thanks for watching will I hope it helped
How are the foot braces holding up? Would you recommend the same installation method after some use?
There holding up great they have taken alot of abuse the last two seasons I'm definitely happy with how they turned out
did the pedals add much leg comfort and back support ?
A huge help. It was a massive comfort increase.
@@summertonfishing119 thank you
Nice job , thanks for sharing

Cheaper way I was thinking would be plumbing line (like for an ice machine on a fridge) with paracord run inside of it
How tall are you. Currently looking at this same kayak and im 6'7"
I'm 6'2" but I only use the rails at the front so there would be lots of room still for you. Thanks for the view and comment I appreciate it
So how tall are you now a day later and not being so current? 😬
@@shireanglin I apologize I don't understand the question

Definitely makes the world of difference
@@summertonfishing119 oh it seems like it would. My back and upper body are always so tired after just an hour or 2 of being out there.
