Kibble fed dogs get tear staining whereas naturally fed dogs rarely have the staining. I used to foster poodles for an organization and after a month with me, eating raw and gently cooked home recipes (balanced recipes that are carnivore centric of course because dogs are carnivores). Currently, my white miniature poodle eats a lot of beef recipes with a lot of heme iron and zero tear stains.
