    The 2024 Trax 1RS is a great option for a well equipped budget friendly sporty styled vehicle. If the 1RS Trax isn't for you check out the 24 TRax LT, 24 Trax Activ, or 24 Trax 2RS which are all great choices.

    It’s actually refreshing to see a new car with a nice set of analog gauges.

      @bmw803 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't understand why they bother with those. Isn't cheaper with a digital screen? Those mechanical gauges are still connected to all electronics. Doesn't reduce costs to put the same screen in every vehicle instead of producing separate parts?

    I just got my Trax yesterday. I can’t believe it starts at only 21,495. If you didn’t tell me I would’ve thought it was a 35-40k vehicle. It’s drives so smooth, turning is very precise, the ride quality is phenomenal, cabin is very quiet, best 4 speaker system I have ever heard. I would recommend 10000%

    I drove a 1RS for an afternoon in the city and on the freeway and thought it was great! It is very peppy for a 1.2L turbo and it handles nicely too. The six-speed auto is very smooth, better for around town than a dual-clutch tranny. I am a car guy, having restored multiple cars over the years and have had my 1982 Lancia Zagato with collector car plates for over a decade now. I wish it had a push-button start because that is what my wife wants and think a Trax would be a nice change for her. It has a great stance too, nice and high so no worries about scraping the front end on a high cement curb when parking. The four-speaker stereo is "okay" but I wish it was better. My wife's current car is a 2011 VW Golf TDI and it has an amazing stereo with 8 speakers. It does NOT have the Dynaudio upgrade but still sounds amazing and miles better than the Trax. I know the 2RS has a six-speaker system but I'm not sure if it sounds any better because I have not heard it. Don't misunderstand, the 4 speaker system in the 1RS is fine, just nothing special. I work part-time as a recording studio engineer and producer so I often listen to songs that I am in the middle of mixing while I am in my car which is why it is important to me. My wife would think it sounds just fine. As for the old-style tach and speedo, I like it! I think it is very RS in nature 😎 much more so than a digital dash. The IRS I drove also had the Driver Confidence package and the sunroof option making it one nice ride! Loved the red accents inside and out as well, very sporty looking. I am pretty sure I'll be getting one. I just have to convince myself that the decrease in power and fuel economy over the TDI will be worth it. All my wife wants is a new car, lol. Oh and I think it looks great too! 😀

      We bought a Spark 18 months ago - can't lie, we've been very happy with it and it looked sharp in two-tone black and white roof and white trim. Considering it was only a Spark, it actually turned heads. BUT the wife was increasingly frustrated only 2 rear seats. It got written off in the Nova Scotia floods a couple of weeks ago so we're replacing with a 1RS + Sunroof package. I'm really happy to be able to replace it with something that looks this good, so cheaply.

    IMO: The 1RS has the most authenticity pleasing trim combinations. The interior black and red trim matches the black and red gauges, and the outside black trim looks great with any other color options - plus the black bowties. I looked at the Active and LT, but the yellow trim and blue trim, respectively, drove me crazy.

    I am so impressed with this new model of Trax until I saw a video of a mechanic reviewing this car. The major setback for this Trax is that the timing belt is built inside the engine, not outside. Meaning you will have to open the entire engine assembly just to get to replace the timing belt, and when the cover is removed, you have to buy a new one as it is a one-time use only. He also mentioned that there is a part you have to remove to get to the battery, which makes it inconvenient just to jump or perhaps replace it. All other negative reviews are of lesser value that it is sluggish a bit when when picking up speed, seats are not automatic, side door fixtures are pure plastics with no cushions, or rear hatch is manual. Perhaps, you cannot expect more than what Trax offers to consumers for the amazing lowprice, but under-the-hood issues are a bit concerning.

    picked the same (1RS, black) model up a week ago ,and so far loving it. Just got the front windows tinted yesterday and I have to say... it is uniform and very sleek. My 15 RAM bit the dust so i was looking used because vehicles are expensive these days, and rolled across these in my search and was blown away at the price.. the small tank was kind of a hang up for me ,as i filled it up on day at lunch and the next day it was a quarter of a tank down around lunch time... i was alarmed at how fast it appeared to drink gas, but i realized the distance to the next fill up is true... so don't let the gas gage freak you out like it did me.. its going a long way on that little tank, average about 25mpg.

    If I had to choose right now, I would go with the LT model with all 3 packages and the blue accent interior. The 1RS looks terrific, but lacking too many bells and whistles of the higher trims. I love the tire/wheel combo of the 1RS, they look great. It is unfortunate that the better equipped 2RS is not available with that same wheel and tire combination. I live in southeast Michigan where we have a lot of roads in poor condition, and the skinny tires of the 2RS deeply concern me.

    We love the look of the new trax and the sizing as well as the features. Considering trading our 2017 GMC Acadia for a Trax, just not 100% sure we can live with the size difference and we’d not have AWD. 2 boys 4 and 7 and a bigger dog. If she could fit in the cargo area that would be amazing! Are we crazy for considering? Might look at a 1RS trax tomorrow. We’ve needed AWD 1 time since we’ve owned the Acadia.

    Hey, I've seen a few reports of people complaining that the AC does NOT TURN ON when using remote start, specifically it seems to be an issue with 1RS or LS (lower trims) those trims do not have push-start or automatic climante control... the models that have push-start / automatic climate control (I think LT / 2RS / Activ) seem to work ok. Is it possible to confirm this? Not sure if this is the intended behaviour or a bug, but essentially not having the AC or Heat turn on when using remote start pretty much completely defeats the purpose of remote start and is a big flaw with these models imho.

    • @louno3731
      @louno3731 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@brycemccallum3033 are you 100% sure of this? Have you tested it for Cooling and Heating? Some people who have the 1RS say that if you remote start the car, the car will blow air, but its just going to be air, the AC isnt actually cooling... its just fan mode... until you insert the key, once the key is inserted then the AC will kick in... so you might think that the ac is working because you get in the car and you hear the fans going on, but its not actually cooling... its not clear if this is an issue for everyone or just some, if its intended or not...

      Adaptive cruise just makes an alignment more expensive. We have this feature on our VW Atlas, and an alignment job is 300 bucks instead of a regular 100, because they need to recalibrate a bunch of shit. Turned that crap off. All those gadgets are useless and cost more for nothing.

    Love the Trax, but I would be spending the extra money to bump it up to the 2RS or Activ if for nothing more than the bigger screen and to get rid of those cheesy looking seats that should have been left in 1989. I love cloth seats, actually prefer them over leather, but that pattern just looks terrible and detracts from what is otherwise a phenomenal vehicle for the price.

      95% of buyers still opt for a gas car. Why would any car company ignore that? There is enough noise about EVs, People will buy what suits them. We have BOLT EUV and a VW ATLAS SE, because that's what works for us.
