I'm black and I was raised with Asian-Americans and lived seven years in Asia---Southeastern and Eastern. All of these attacks make me nauseated. Some black people perpetrate these crimes against Asians because victimized people, especially when they are very poor, angry and ignorant, they lash out and victimize others unjustly. Look at the history, Reagan labeled Asians “model minorities” in the 80s. They thought they weren’t subjected to the disgusting hate and racism in this country. Now they see the struggle first hand. I just wish we could all stop the hate.

    • @NangDeeSan

The model minority belief is nothing but a myth. Asians have ALWAYS faced discrimination and unprovoked violence too. Just because the pain and violence has been ignored or downplayed for so long doesn’t mean it never existed or that the whole Corona pandemic is a new thing Asians are experiencing first hand. Heck, it was less than 100 years ago Japanese Americans were even put into concentration camps and their properties and livelihood was taken from them! Or how about Asians who have served their time for crimes? Most get deported! Why not other groups huh? Or how about enacted laws where Asians (Chinese) were specifically banned from entering the country? Chinese Exclusion Act. Trust me, most Asians AREN’T wealthy. For every “nice home or neighborhood” an Asian family has “made it” I guarantee their is a high probability of 3 generations under the same roof...yet you don’t see the same situations with middle class/wealthy White Households in those same neighborhoods. If Asians are so well off then I guess somebody needs to their those elderly Asians to stop going around and picking up cans left and right too then.

Much like how Indigenous Australians left Africa long before the color differentiation and can thus not be considered descendants of Africans. Calling them descendants centers Chinese people rather than appreciating the uniqueness of the culture, traditions and achievements of Indigenous people themselves. 10:17 thank God he mentioned "it's not your time yet" 🙋🏻‍♂️ I'm also tired of this preaching from other sectors. There are no Oscars. Or Grammys when it comes to race issues. No single race takes first place before other races when it comes to hate.

There are things really wrong in the notorious things that keep happening in the USA. Perhaps it's bad when others out of fear froze when witnessing somebody is being beaten helplessly. However, the worse is when witnesses silently sympathize with the attacker by letting the attacker freely beat the victim.

This is why learning self-defence is even more important for Asians. We are perceived as being smaller and weaker and somehow racism only matters when it's directed towards Blacks. I've met many white people who downplay racism toward Asians. If you try to talk about your experiences you are instantly accused of 'playing the race card', usually by people who have little experience of being on the receiving end of racism. Well, our greatest weapons are our phones and cameras, once you show them the evidence let's see if they dare to say we're playing the race card.
And white people aren't the only culprits. Black people are too but no one will talk about that since Black people must be seen as innocent victims all the time. So Asian people, make sure your kids learn self defence in case they are attacked by violent, hateful white or black people.

To ALL BLACK PEOPLE! Stop shopping at these Asian stores, stop eating at these Asian restaurants, stop buying those freaking wigs, get together and form your own wig business! Asians need Africa more than Africans need Asians. Spread the word! Leave those European loving people ALONE! PERIOD!!!

We, Asian majority are good people and always keep to ourselves. Thats why the other races are taking advantage of us. We are vulernable and humble from generations.

thay sped the chinese virus trump sad it..President Trump again used the term "Chinese virus" to refer to the novel coronavirus on Wednesday, despite calls from global health officials to avoid labels associating the disease with a particular nation or ethnic group. Mr. Trump's comments have drawn backlash and raised concerns about stigmatizing Asian-Americans.
His rhetoric gained growing attention Tuesday after he used the phrase in a tweet about supporting the airline industry as travel restrictions decimate their business. "The United States will be powerfully supporting those industries, like Airlines and others, that are particularly affected by the Chinese Virus. We will be stronger than ever before!" he wrote.
