Seeing the EV-1, I shake my head in disbelief at the short sightedness of GM and how they would be so far ahead if they had continued its development. ;-)
how many people are here for the pontiac stuff? so many cool GM things. my favorite stuff is the pontiac stuff. its easy to tell all the corvettes started using the pontiac banshee and firbird designs from the 63-64 pontiac banshee and the early firebird prototypes. the c3 corvette didnt come out until 67-68 and it's obviously identical to the previous 63-64 pontiac banshee. so many cool things but im disappointed about the lack of the 64 pontiac banshee.
Right 🔛!! Sènor mAD MAxXximillion..people just don't have a clue these days, 'eh brother? Before they know it they're getting smacked UP & THEN they tend to... SHUT THE FUCK UP reaaaaal quick....‼😂‼ Truth hurts, you have an 👍un-miserable rest of your day sir 🙏❗
right ?! they buried the 64 pontiac banshee so it wasn;t so obvious that corvette stole the design in 1967-68. they didnt eve show the 64 banshee, unless i missed it....
Great montage of all the cars. You must have been in a hurry, it's very hard to get footage of all the cars in just an hour and a half tour! I've been there a few times and it is just fantastic. The car at 7:17 was briefly shown in Back to the Future II.
There's a Pontiac collector here in northern Indiana with the original MK.6 GTO concept car. It was rescued from the crusher back in the day. Found in woodburns junkyard. It's gold and was featured at some kind of auto show for the early gto concept. The car was in a magazine article. Too bad somebody doesn't restore it because it's all there. The man who owns it is in his 70s and probably won't get to it.
I have a extremely rare 1965 GM the heritage center doesn't have and probably has never heard of it..ìts the only model of its kind for sale anywhere on the planet..chevelle body GTO dash and interior, completely factory down to the Delco Moraine stamped brake shoes
Holy hell, that was me that popped in at the left of the screen at 2:20...You were part of the tour I set up! How funny is that!? What's your name and what car forum/club were you with?
i love good car designs but i have to say we're lucky that most of those concept cars never made it into mass production. the final models are more often than not more refined & beautiful.
Tamas Kalman... I disagree, GM for awhile changed very little on their cars. Almost any design that Harley Earl worked on I would have liked to see at least go into limited production, even if they only made 200, I think he really had his finger on the pulse of what this nation wanted.

Haha i was like "what the hell?' but i now see that you saved the best for last.! 57 belair=best car ever made!?! well at least other than those fancy concept stingrays XD
the gran turismo serie should make a special game with nothing but concept car from every maker and every time period and ignore anything that got officially mass produced... if they did i would buy the ps4 the same day they anouce it
Thanks to the gas shortage, people definitely were trying to find much more economically practical cars in the 80's. I came here trying to see if the Banshee IV would be here, but I guess not. It was way ahead of it's time. It was the first car I've ever heard of with a rearview camera display, memory positions for all of the controls to accommodate two drivers, seats that contoured to your body, speakers in the head rest, and much more. Thought up in 1989, and they created one by 1990, it never made it into production. One of many concepts years ahead of its time. It influenced the later designs of the Firebird though.

Blame CARB
It shows how far ahead they were in bed with big oil! It is a shame that G.M. will never be able to shake!

Thanks for putting this up. It brings back a lot of memories from car shows and magazines from the past.
1986 corvette indy with LT5 in the rear !?! that thing was 4 generations ahead of its time ! very cool. the new c8 is also mid engine. 2020 fiero :)
It would have been nice if they had listed each car they showed, especially for those who do not know what they are looking at...!!!
Yes you're right

Michael Schmidt it literally says chevy astro on the sign..
huo I didn’t want to kill this guy’s experience by saying that 😂 I would go just to see the banshee
Dream Theater do the music??
I WANT that Corvette at 1:50. Looks like something Batman would have driven in the 90's. So cool.
I liked the trans am wagon

In the Tradition on GM , shouldn't all of these cars go straight to the Californian Dessert and be Crushed ??
+Terry Thomas - The only tradition you carry is writing with the grammar skills of a 1st grader.
Cheers Shannon !
Miley might be on the end of it !
He probably lives off section 8
That makes perfect sense !!
None of the Banshees that I could see and no Monzas
And no Skyhawk
Why do we need to hear exotic eastern music for a US car manufacturer?
Yes a big thank you for putting this up I saved it I'm watching it over and over and over again I love it
The Gm how kills there GM cars.
Not at carmax

The 80s and 90s were a bad time for cars.
Joshua Miller the Monte carlos of the 80s were awesome. The z28 and IROC-Z camaros and 4th Gen z28 cars were asleep cool.

I'm a Chevy man myself I love Gm but I'm very very glad that Chevy did not release some of these
i remember all of them
Don't you have to be invited to go there ?
I liked the concept cars but really the music why???
Why was it necessary to turn this into a stupid music video?
la música apesta
stupid ass music has me gone
Pretty much all shit cars
Amazing how they can design so many cars that are so far away from nice looking as you can get and make people think this is good design.
