Spaying and neutering is free for both dogs and cats presented by animal rescue groups and low income persons. That mother dog was perfectly tame and it's truly sad that she isn't a believed pet herself. Somewhere there's a lonely grandparent who would benefit from the companionship on a mature and obviously loving dog.

Even though the baby pup is going to a better life, I couldn't help but be overcome with deep sadness watching this video. It felt like a mother giving up her baby ... not because they want to, but because they must. You could tell that the separation wasn't easy. Especially if it's the 12th time. @ML8593wy that is the usual case, I can share an interesting story that's a little unique I think. There was a stray pup which got hurt in an accident in my street, it got into like a stroke or something and vomited anything it ate. I was only a 13 or 14 at the time so I had steal some money from my dad's cash draw and then took the pup to the vet and to my luck, it became well after a few days. The mom between rejected her pup but we used to feed her too. I almost adopted the pup but family didn't allow. The interesting thing is the pups mom accepted her pup later. They used to roam around together even in the same street for more than a decade. I moved away from that area the mom dog will be more than 18 now. They were very friendly and mature, intelligent good girls, I suppose much better than me. Lol. I miss them so much.
That moment when she turned and walked away after saying goodbye to her little pup breaks my heart. She was clearly trying to hold back her tears. May both mom and pup live long happy lives. Dogs are such beautiful creatures.

This puppy is gonna have a good life. Personally we should be happy that the puppy has a home now. It is heart-wrenching to see them depart, but Puppies in pet shops have a crueler life. I've seen a puppy grow from 2 months old to 7 month old while it's caged in a pet shop. There are thousands or more of such dogs that hasn't seen a life out of cages. And no one wants to buy a 7 month puppy. Most see these precious life as objects or profit. And when a puppy isn't sold, there is a dirty side to it.

You can't catch them all. And who knows how she came to be. She could just as easily been a escaped dog who got lost from her loving home to just as easily being abandoned or just a baby from a line of wild dogs who never were found and spayed. But, yes, I think it is incredibly heartbreaking to watch mother animals being parted from their babies, especially when those babies are still in the age of being weened and are still growing.

Yes. Once I went to a pound to get a puppy and it was the last one from the litter. All the puppies had been cute- with interesting markings, fluffy fur and many with blue eyes. The mother was very thin and was a more "plain" solid brown with short hair and more usual brown eyes- but her eyes were beautiful and so full of soul and love. I could not leave her behind, so I adopted here and her last baby. They are my precious fur babies now. This video breaks my heart.
That dog looks like a "silver" Labrador retriever, a line much valued in both America and Britain. I think she was a pet that got separated from her owner, otherwise she wouldn't have trusted the students with her babies. I hope someone adopts her soon. @ML8593wy that is the usual case, I can share an interesting story that's a little unique I think.
There was a stray pup which got hurt in an accident in my street, it got into like a stroke or something and vomited anything it ate.
I was only a 13 or 14 at the time so I had steal some money from my dad's cash draw and then took the pup to the vet and to my luck, it became well after a few days.
The mom between rejected her pup but we used to feed her too. I almost adopted the pup but family didn't allow. The interesting thing is the pups mom accepted her pup later. They used to roam around together even in the same street for more than a decade.
I moved away from that area the mom dog will be more than 18 now. They were very friendly and mature, intelligent good girls, I suppose much better than me. Lol. I miss them so much.

This puppy is gonna have a good life. Personally we should be happy that the puppy has a home now. It is heart-wrenching to see them depart, but Puppies in pet shops have a crueler life. I've seen a puppy grow from 2 months old to 7 month old while it's caged in a pet shop. There are thousands or more of such dogs that hasn't seen a life out of cages. And no one wants to buy a 7 month puppy. Most see these precious life as objects or profit. And when a puppy isn't sold, there is a dirty side to it.
Shihab Kaippalli it’s for the good of the puppies... on the street they could die from many things. Would you rather them get good homes or be forced to look for scraps, sleep in bad weather, fight off other animals, get bacteria infections, etc. etc.
They are better off in homes & clearly the mother dog believes so too because if she didn’t she woulda put up a fight, all animals fight to protect their young but if they know they are better off they will back down, mom has been living on the streets for a few years, she knows how hard it is & most likely doesn’t want her pups living that life so she did what’s best for them & gave them up to people who can give them good, loving, warm homes with food that’s more than just scraps, where the pups can be safe & out of bad weather, away from all the dangers Street life is... I just wish someone would’ve adopted Momma too.

Imagine you are a 6 months old little cute angel baby girl and I found you with your mother and with a curiosity I forcefully separating you from your mother and daily I can feed you no problem I can give you milk and protein rich food I can give you a luxury life but no matter I can’t care you they way your mother did so one thing I have to say care taker is not a mom

My thought exactly, just spayed them including the pups when they grow up as a preemptive measure.
You can't catch them all. And who knows how she came to be. She could just as easily been a escaped dog who got lost from her loving home to just as easily being abandoned or just a baby from a line of wild dogs who never were found and spayed. But, yes, I think it is incredibly heartbreaking to watch mother animals being parted from their babies, especially when those babies are still in the age of being weened and are still growing.

Maybe she only has enough space and financial resources for 1 dog. Caring for a dog is not cheap, according to my own experience.
So please spay the mama since only unwanted puppies. If people want to adopt get from shelter so many waiting for homes and will lighten shelters burden. Great hardship for shelter caretakers too with abandoned dogs increasing.

Yes. Once I went to a pound to get a puppy and it was the last one from the litter. All the puppies had been cute- with interesting markings, fluffy fur and many with blue eyes. The mother was very thin and was a more "plain" solid brown with short hair and more usual brown eyes- but her eyes were beautiful and so full of soul and love. I could not leave her behind, so I adopted here and her last baby. They are my precious fur babies now. This video breaks my heart.

That dog looks like a "silver" Labrador retriever, a line much valued in both America and Britain. I think she was a pet that got separated from her owner, otherwise she wouldn't have trusted the students with her babies. I hope someone adopts her soon. Continually whelping puppies shortens a mother dog's life.
