It was very interesting to see your prospective on a Harley Davidson, as someone who has not ridden one before, and we thought you rode it really well! With any Harley Davidson, if you don't like the seat or the handlebars or the foot pegs, you can change to the ones you do like as there are multiple options available. I think Suzy wants one! Darcy's Harley Softail Standard is still for sale, which is basically a Street Bob with more chrome and it comes with a different seat and the original and loud pipes! No pressure lol 👍🏼
To be honest it was quite intimidating coming off a 165kg Voge 350 😂. I seem to be able to turn my hand to anything moto related so I got the hang of it after 15 mins even with Suze on the back! Temptation to purchase was there and after 24hrs furiously looking at autotrader/Ebay I've stepped back from the ledge and HD ownership will have to wait for now 😀. Thanks both and hope you both and Jo are doing well. Cheers, Sean
I own a 2015 Dyna Street Bob. It has the 103 and has more than enough power for these Tennessee Mountains. Out here in this part of the country it's Harley Davidson man. I'm glad you got to have that experience. Great video both of you!
Thanks for taking your time mates as this was a really fun video to view. It was especially nice to see Suzie along in the video. Trisha & I get a kick out of seeing you Suzie. Just keep being you! You did a nice job on the Harley Sean; good riding skills. Have a beautiful day!! Cheers!! Illinois, USA
Thank you Larry and yes it was fantastic to get out with Suzie and have a day of fun. The day just went a lot better than we hoped, good weather, nice people and the bike really surprised. Very lucky to have it all come together like that. Thanks for the kind comment as always. I hope you have a fab Sunday 👌 👏 👍
Coroners court is where the coroner (equivalent to a judge) listens to evidence surrounding someone’s death. They are limited with their verdicts which are. Natural Causes, suicide, homicide and death by misadventure. The coroner has lots of powers and is the king’s representative and charged with finding out how one of the king’s subjects has died. The court itself is called and inquest and people can be summoned to appear and give evidence. Hope that helps
Im glad you did that guys, I’m shouting at you - self cancelling indicators and for gods sake change up! But the point I think this makes is Super Meteors, Shotguns and every other cruiser manufacture will never give you the Harley experience. Now the spoiler, for Suzzie you should now go ride an Indian and see the difference in pillion comfort.
Interesting one guys I was going to go for a Harley for that character and awesome sound but in the end I went for the Triumph T120 mainly because I know very little about Harleys also price and reliability and so on . I am sure there are a number of various seats available for more comfort on these bikes great watch and well done Suze 👌👍
We are exactly the same Crumbly, I'm very unfamiliar with Harley models, spec, extras and what too pay. Is a 2010 model essentially the same experience? Hard to say if it would be worth paying for a new one... 🤔
Hey Sean, I know I asked you not to interrupt Suze, and she did not fail to deliver. A couple of corkers were: That pillion seat might as well have been the shiny thing - er, mudguard. Woah, now if I was a lesbian! Absolutely priceless Suze. ❤️👍✅😎
Nice video. You have got me interested in one of these experience days. I have always had a wee fancy for a Harley Davidson but I just can’t myself to buy one. Ride safe.
I used to hanker after a H-D Sturgis back in the day. Last week I had a good long sit on a Fat Boy and an Electra-Glide. Sadly I found both bikes to be totally uncomfortable. The Fat Boy seemed to place all the pressure on my coccyx, and the Electra-Glide (oh my god it is a beautiful looking machine) had my man-bits squashed into the tank. No way I could ride either of them for more than 20 minutes or so, such a shame.
After my two Buells talked myself into buying a Fxrdxxyz sport thing 1600cc Vance & Hines thing which did not go round corners but sounded glorious, the a new XR12 which wasn’t bad but totally impractical so that’s how I got the Buell uylesses now that was a brilliant bike, must admit I liked the switch gear too indicator on each grip and chunky buttons. Motors are easy to maintain as well although the new ones have become more technical and have lost the raw edge to the motor as well, Ive been told, accessories are unfortunately all £telephone number expensive, must admit to always fancying a full dressed electra glide or tour glide, or even one o& the new bobbers
I would be interested in a 2000-2010 sort of model, principle being the price is more realistic and perhaps the experience would be similar? Still it's a way off at the moment as still enjoying the BSA... nice Sunday Pete, hope you've got the Sun too!
@@MindfulMotorcyclist Hi Guys, try an 883 sportster I’ve ridden a couple, the first one I rode had longer aftermarket shocks which gave it more ground clearance and it was a great ride. The second one in standard trim was nice but scraped the pipes on right handers 😳 but still a nice ride, but try before you buy, I jumped cos of my Buell and I was disappointed mainly due to lumpy motor and poor handling so traded back to another Buell same motor casings wise but soooo much better Erick Buell is a genius 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh good Lord hardly ablesons ! $$$$$$$$$$$ and no instrument cluster! Common as flies over here and you can get nice used ones cheap ! Cheers john in Missouri !
We looked up and down for you Andy, that bike had the Spitfire exhaust so I was thinking how rare would a red Diavel be with that exhaust then we saw the screen.... oh its not Andy 😂😂
Personally, for me at least, I don't like cruisers and the riding position. I know you can change the pegs, bars etc but that defeats the point of having a Harley-Davidson. Living in Central London, cars drive too fast and don't pay attention to traffic. You'd have to have your legs ready to put them down as cars pull out in front of you. You have to ride defensively all the time. Plus it's a big bike for filtering. They are nice though, especially the all NEW 2024 Ultra Limited but you're looking at £30k. You're better off looking for a 2nd hand Honda Goldwing then Suze can sit very comfortably, confidently on the luxurious armchair pillion seat.
@@MindfulMotorcyclist Chris Northover on Bike World just did a video on 2nd hand Honda Goldwings. I think the one he rode was a 5th generation? For £8k? I'm pretty sure that if you wanted it, you could knock them down even more. Everyone wants to sit on one, but nobody buys it. Worth a test ride with Suze on the back
Those bars look to be "mini-apes", as in miniature ape-hangers. I had them on my 1200 Low (Sportster). You will get used to the turn signals and if you press both at the same time you get the "emergency flashers". The instrumentation on this model is pathetic as is the fuel capacity. It is uselessly tiny. Harleys are uniquely Amurican. They are in a bit of trouble over here in the same way Budweiser was/is/and SHOULD be for Butt Light Beer Commercials. They were exposed for their (wussy_ German CEO being a deviant supporter so a LOT, if not ALL of Harley's customer base is pissed off and rightly so. Here's to said base intercoursing up HD's sales to the point they do a 180 and put an AMERICAN in the saddle of the company and ensure the weirdo stuff is gone forever and that HD builds only in America. 'til then? I will buy used. As for resale, they are not immune to reality and they depreciate a bit less than other marques but you pay quite a bit more. A dealer offered me $1,000 for my '07 Sportster 1200 Low in trade for a '16 FLHTP (Police model). No thanks and no hard feelings. My brother (he and his wife now own 4 Harleys including his own FLHTP!) bought it from me for $4,000 (which is all I thought it was worth!). Then I went and bought an '08 Ultra Classic onto which I will bolt a sidecar once I have saved the money to do so! Yes, I rarely ride as I am physically handicapable but I refuse to stop riding if I can safely do so. I can and a sidecar will help me all the more to continue. A Road King is nice. I owned a 2004 Road King Classic but it had tubed wheels and I got rid of it within 2 years. The Road King "special" is not the same as standard 'King. The special is more in line with a short school bus with dark windows special. P A S S. Get a nice used Road King from '12 on (no crappy Classic versions). An Ultra Classic is also very comfortable for pillions but it is also very heavy and a pain to move around. At least if your are a nearly 70 year old handicapable seasoned citizen, LOL! There are no excuses when you buy a Harley. By that I mean there's no need to justify the purchase. If you bought a Yamaha Starley you would be forever explaining why you bought a fake HD instead of what you (obviously) really wanted. A Harley-Davidson. There are downsides to Harleys. Apparently riding one can affect (infect?) the rider to morph into a rough 'n' ready Bad-Azz Biker. Pfffffffffft! The bike doesn't make the man and instead the man makes a fool of himself. I like Harleys just fine. I owned a Goldwing a few years back but sold it (no resale there too) and bought a diesel RAM truck for my longer trips. Once I can put the sidecar on the Ultra Classic I can take my grandchildren down the street in front of their home. I hate LOUD motorbikes so I have a stock exhaust except for the end caps as the previous owner had some loud ones on and my brother took those off for a pair of stock pipes off of a CVO Ultra. The end caps are not on yet as he couldn't find 'em but I will get a pair if it makes it quieter. He likes loud. 🙂 There is nothing like a Harley and if that is what you want, then buy one. Buy used and save some moolah! And screw HD's weirdo pushing propaganda and fire that CEO and get an Amurican in there! SS in commiefornia, USA.
Being a GoldStar owner yourself i thought you may be interested in my attempts to sell/swop the bike. I paid 6800 + otr back in March 23. How's that for depreciation.
Mine on 2500 miles Ian. It would be worth half a twix and perhaps a swap on a zontes 125cc 😂. I'm just going to keep it, if BSA puts back up the price then that should help stabilise used market. It's very quickly reached interceptor levels of below £4k. Mine even worse is a Green 72 plate bike 😂😂. I was offed £4.5k part ex 3 months ago, that was the time to move if I had a new bike in mind!
can't believe you rode that streetbob in 3rd ;;; you should have been in 6th for 90 percent of that ride , no point on being on a harley; you can have a go on my heritage for comfort ;;
I rode the FTR Dave, review coming up. I might be able to get on a Scout soon, Indian are very selective as to who the let on their bikes... say no more 😂. Luckily I think Mark is keen for me to get out on his demo bikes so might have a chance 😉 😄
