    Just traded my 2021 R1M for a 2023 Street Bob. It was so weird. And I agree, it was scary at first. Coming from a guy that cruises around 170mph no problem. But I’m beyond happy I did it. I needed to get off the liter bikes before something bad happened. With the street Bob you don’t even want to go fast but it’s nice to know the power is there.

    Made the switch from sport bikes to a Harley this year and picked up a ‘23 street bob and couldn’t be happier. It’s definitely a different type of riding but just as enjoyable and the torque is addicting.

    I have a Bob myself. I enjoy it because the riding position is nicer than a sport bike for me. Mash the menu button and it shows RPM

    I picked up a 21' Street bob in March of this year for MSRP with only 800 miles on it. I've put about 3000 miles on it. The Milwaukee-8 is the most reliable and powerful (Sport-Cruiser) engine made by Harley-Davidson today. I have friends with over 40,000 miles on their bikes who've had 0 issues. Including none of the coveted "Harley leaks". On top of that while aftermarket parts are quite a bit pricier than most sport bikes, there is a MASSIVE market for it. You can stylize the bike anyway you want. Full on sport-cruiser, bobber, club-style, performance-oriented etc.. I've gone for a little bit of all of the above. I mainly went club-style so I got a the Memphis shades road warrior fairing and an exhaust (pretty much a must-have) since the stock exhaust weighs a shit ton and chokes the shit out of the engine and It really brings the "soul" of the bike out. The only real downside to the street bob as opposed to some of the other softail models is the tank size. If you plan on doing long trips the 3.5 GAL tank won't get you too far, but If you want to save yourself some money and build it to your liking you can pick up a 2018+ softail slim tank which is 5 GAL and that'll take you quite a ways. A little bit more stylish and requires some slight modifications but can be worth it if that's what your into. I've always loved speed and fast stuff, but after getting into riding, I've had way to many people on sport bikes pass. All bikes are dangerous and these street bobs are still quick for their size and design. I've gotten mine up to 120 (I'm a big boy) and that's exactly why I refuse to buy a sport bike. The amount of money I've spent I could've easily gotten a liter bike, but I've had so many sketch situations on my SB that I'm almost certain If I was on a street bike, I'd probably be dead. The street bob is a perfect combination of bang for your buck for a cruiser with a good bit of sport to it and It's perfect platform to build exactly what you want.

    Man, that tricycle thing in front...I'm sorry, but I instantly think 'mobility scooter', can't help it. Anyway, owned supersports, now on retro bikes, but that Harley looks quite the relaxed ride too. Wouldn't switch my current bikes however :-)

      Same thought on the trike! But since I never rode one, I'll keep my mouth shut. Try too. Maybe! Training wheels for a motorcycle? Stop it.

  • @silkycherry
    @silkycherry ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Hi, The SB does have a RPM gauge. On the top left button you can change to see your rpm. You can also add forward foot controls to it . 👍

    • @Zx10Rawr
      @Zx10Rawr  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh nice! That's actually great to know, I liked the ride but the feet position was a turn off.

    • @silkycherry
      @silkycherry ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Zx10Rawr Yup those are between mid and forward. There is a kit you can buy from Harley to move them forward. It's a little pricey. I would say if you like a more sporty looking cruiser the Fat Bob would be a good choice and it does come with forward foot controls. The Street bob is more a traditional Cruiser customisable. Both great Motorcycles.👍

    I use to have a Ducati-at 186 horsepower and top speed of 225 mph. Very fun on the Highway and curvy roads, but in many ways it was boring at low speeds. I could start out in third gear and red line first gear at 90 mph. I changed over to a Harley Davidson because I was always speeding. Harley Davidson and Indian make sport cruiser bikes which you may like.
