The passenger side line allows the oil to flow towards the oil cooler when the thermostat closes (bypass type). For a vertical type setup, you want the oil entering the heat exchanger from the bottom to burp out any air pockets.
Thank you for share this video bro recently I bought a oil cooler in eBay but they doesn’t send me the oil cooler delete fitting thanks for share the part number that help me a lot I can buy the part and make my installation.
Nice install dude, as always! Might be one I'll look into in the future, watch, I'll come back in a few months to re-watch your tutorial haha!! Hope you're having a good weekend!
Nice! Would be even better if you could but the camera focusing in manual, so that we get to see your hands working with the tools instead of the top of your arm in addition to focusing in and out.
Unless it's a track-only car, it's pointless to do a top mount for a traffic-sitting daily driver. Heat from the engine and header will rise and oil temps will skyrocket, doing more harm than good. Where he has it totally fine.
It doesnt matter which one goes where, but by logic heat rises so put hot input on top and cold output bottom, bot that it really makes differents but hey lol
the coolant reservoir you got install, can you provide a link please. thx for the video in btw i struggle with the hoses on mine and the oil cap interfieres and such narrow space to work with
My WRX Channel dang that's insane. I live in Florida and I've never seen mine get past 216ish. Maybe because the humidity has a higher heat capacity or something to help pull heat away
I’m stage 1+ charge pipe plus BOV and catback, I went to the desert being a hot day 105 degrees, looked at my oil temp and it got to 235 on full WOT 1-6 gear. Normal? I don’t have an oil cooler kit either
@@CarsWithJR honestly with winter weather I run no higher than e53ish. Tuned by Ron Watson haven't had any problems at so far 32 degrees starts and runs fines. Takes a second longer to catch than pump but never dies.

Thanks bro! Seriously.
@@CarsWithJR You bet!!
I found a great deal on a Perrin oil cooler for my 09 wrx but it’s for a 15-21 wrx. Would that be compatible?
Easy tip I use to remove my oil filter is simply using my leather belt works same as the oil filter removal tools out there same concept.

Im still waiting for that video of full detailing on your car

Carlos Rivera that’s gonna be a long video. 😂
@@CarsWithJR i dont mind, or you can do it as a series. Wheel part, wash/decon, correct paint if needed etc. Then what you do as maintenane wash
Carlos Rivera check out Obsessed Garage as well, Matt has the template a lot of people use
@@williampotter7945 mywrxchannel have almost a complete Adam's polishes line up, i want to see that
Look forward to the update video after you autocross it a few times.

lmaoo why did it die at the end E85 hahahaha

Why not install the oil cooler where the OEM intercooler was located? Take advantage of the hood scoop for air flow.
Absolutely! I mentioned having a top mount oil cooler in my last video.

I’m a huge fan I love the videos bro thanks
Thanks man! I appreciate it!

So which one is the hot input at the plate; left or right?

How tf do you put oil in the car with the charge pipe on top of it? Would a funnel be able to squeeze in?
9:24 How did you end up tightening this part?
It would be nice if you could put oil cooler where the top mount intercooler used to be.
I did.
why don't try to make your own bracket to mount it on top where the inter-cooler sit could be dyi set up
Stupid question... but why do you need an oil cooler? How high do you see temps get when you autocross?
My temps have easily reached 260 on a hot day. This is cheap insurance.

Are 1.28 feedback knocks normal on an E-tune?
Hi is it recommended for N/A like 86/brz? Thanks!!
Would you able to put back the plate on the same spot
You would still go about an oil change the same way, right? No draining oil from the oil cooler or anything. Just install and pretend it isn’t there?
what was your temperature before and what are they now?? When i do some highway racing it gets sometimes up to 211-220ish
In these cold temps, my gauge stays below 190.

Why is your radiator green?
Lol bro you needed to floor the clutch too
So It would prime
You just floored the gas pedal and turned the key
What type of air jacks are you using
They are called Quick Jacks.
Thanks
What bumper do you have?
Stock
no fmic installed, incomplete.
If your car doesn't run well when cold on e85, you need a new tuner.
It’s typical to have E85 cold start issues when going through the revision process if you know how that works.
@@CarsWithJR yes I do my own tuning...many tuners do not want to spend the time required to get everything 100%. Wot tuning is the easy part!
R N that’s awesome! Do you any contact info on where people can contact you for tunes?
