There is no way that I could go in there and not look for gold being the gold hound that I am!!

I've looked for gold in some other ones with no luck. You have to haul back the quartz chunks and grind them up to see if any gold comes out

Now you know why the gold in Georgia, is still in Georgia. It's all hard rock. No boom boom, no big equipment, no real gold. Pick axe, I don't think so. For fun, maybe, if your into blistered hands. Imagine trying to toke the rock off so you could actualy do something with it

E hy do you call them hobo mines,do you know who actually
    dug them?.

Miners hand dug the mines back in the early ages of the Georgia gold rush, then hobos who drifted from town to town would stay in these gold mines

@@localforestroamer The Spanish had small one or two man mines which they covered, almost without fail. The injuns sometimes would open the and work them after the Spanish were run out.The Cherokee closed them back up before their removal. In 1838.I can see hobos using them, kids camping out there too.Have you checked the quartz veins for color?.

I have, some good colors occasionally. Not really worth my time to haul back all the rock and smash it up though@@everettbass8659
