I haven't yet seen the entire video but I just wanted to share - My favorite saying about posture that I've heard so far and that I try to apply to my life as well: The perfect posture/position is the next one. (Meaning: always be moving! Don't stay in a conventional "perfect" posture for a long time just because you think it can't fail you.)
I used to ride horses and we all had dancer posture, very up right with shoulders back, because we had really solid cores and were forced to have great posture. Even though our posture was great a lot of the girls on my team had back problems or regularly went to the chiropractor.
I remember I went to physical therapy in high school and had to wear tape on my shoulderblades that kept them together, locking me in a 'perfect' posture This was a little extreme but has helped me in achieving better lifting form by understanding the 'shoulderblades in your back pockets'-cue which I find helpful for many exercises
Hi Justina, would you be open to making a video about cycling in everyday life? You really helped me when it comes to taking enough steps, but I'm confused how I should apporach getting enough movement when I replace a lot of my walking (and bus rides) with cycling. Checking my average step count on my phone is so easy and I wonder if there is something similar for a mixture of walking and cycling. And obviously I would be interested to hear anything else you have to say on the topic. Have a nice day!
This video came at a perfect time. I think I've just become more aware of my posture, and I felt paranoid that I hunch more often then ever this past couple weeks. So I've been making myself sit up straight but obviously it's easy to fall back into slouching and that annoys me. But! Now I feel better about that because at least I'm moving my back in different ways and keeping it moving 😂 i already do rows and I've been doing the chest opening stretch on a foam roller since you've mentioned in previous videos. I feel like I'm on a good track now. Lol Thank you for the video. You explained things really well and It was helpful seeing other ways to work on those issues if they ever came up.
I love the cat cow stretch. I had scoliosis as a teen and wore a back brace for two years. Now, there’s controversy as to whether that actually did anything. I’ve improved my posture more in the past few years with exercise, especially strengthening my core.

Oh yeah I’m sure!
Thank you for this - especially everything you said at the beginning!! It was really encouraging! 😊

As long as you are able to achieve that posture without relying on the tape, that's fantastic!
@@JustinaErcole Yes, luckily that tape is long gone 😂
I didn't know I needed this vid as much as I do. Thank you Justina, you change my view on my body/fitness everyday.
I’m so glad!

I don't cycle or ride a bike often, but I did make a video where I tried a Peloton 2 years ago where I discuss cycling a bit more!
@@JustinaErcole Thank you

I’m so glad you found it helpful!
I had flat feet as a kid, and feel like you were looking at my calves while explaining it lol. Thank you for the recomendations!
Happy to help!

I love that one too!
I have some upper crossed syndrome and anterior pelvic tilt 🤪. I don’t know what to do ….
Great video. Love the info!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Glad you enjoyed it!
sooo helpful thank youu !!!
You're so welcome!
😂best cue “shine your butthole to the back wall” 😂
Hahaha it works!
Can you have both upper and lower crossed syndrome at the same time?
Elements of both absolutely! Humans are unique and are bodies adapt to lots of different changes :)
Yes! 👏
The feeling when you have all three🤦🏻♀️
Now you have some drills to work on!
Same, plus scoliosis haha
4:43 😂😂
Shine your butthole to the wall…I’m dying 😂
:)
I feel like my knees lock but instead of my foot going in. It goes out. 😅
I have hyperextended knees too!
Oh I think worded mine incorrectly I meant like bucked? (The cave in)
Not boring at all.
I’m thrilled!
My chiropractor has recommended me a lot of these stretches as well, so thanks for calling me out on not doing them recently 😅
You're so welcome! :)
