You are not a content creator bro, you are a Graphic designer sharing your work, process & insights. Content Creator title doesn't make sense at all. I feel it's dehumanising. It's selling yourself short. You are doing great. Sharing the process & lessons is an absolute advantage and it's awesome that you have the capacity to do it. More power to you! ✌🙏

Love this format! Thanks for sharing your thoughts about imposter syndrome. In my experience, it’s very common even outside of the creative field. You said you sometimes worry about sharing your knowledge because you’re young, but I think there is room for everyone to share and help one another. I really appreciate designers like you who are great at design and help others to grow.
I’m middle aged and just starting my career in graphic design after a career in tech. I definitely felt more like an imposter at first (and still sometimes now, too) because I was at a senior level in my past field, so starting over is scary. But, it’s also a lot of fun and what I’ve always wanted to do. So designers like you are really a wonderful resource and I’m so grateful I found your channel recently!

Thank you for sharing! I feel like my imposter syndrome comes from the fact that I'm mostly self-taught and don't have the formal education or all the skills that a "trained graphic designer" has. I feel like a fraud a lot of the time because I've taken the time to learn the parts that I can monetize but not necessarily all the fundamentals. I don't know, I hope that these feelings will continue to fade as I grow my business and learn things along the way. Thanks again!

Great video Jesse - refreshing to hear someone speak so openly and candidly about something we ALL experience. Keep up the great work man, you're an inspiring designer for sure.

I'm entirely self taught and about a year into my career wih an in house team recently got promoted and ive felt a bit of this set in even though I've absolutely done my job and have done it wel. Still, II think im experiencing a bit of imposter syndrome? i've recently started to feel burned out and noticed alot of my work is being "refreshed" though outsourced teams, but its all in a creative style that I established, obviously I can't go back myslef and do it, just no time, new things to make, but I cant help but feel that I did something wrong or miss the mark on the breif entirely. Hearing the perspectives of other designers has really helped, especially your perspectives.

oh my gosh that second point. it’s such a relief that you’re talking about that, i doubt myself the most when i’m working with a client who knows exactly what they want. and then to compare myself with designers that i look up to and see their wonderful works that went live. i think we need to constantly remind ourselves that only the best stuff ends up on the feed, and most of us have experienced rejections of all sorts from clients, we just don’t talk openly about it (until you in this video, so thanks jesse for your openness!)
also here to say that like a lot of others, i appreciate that you’re sharing your journey and insights to your followers. it’s a valuable thing you’re doing for the community you’ve built :)

Thank you for your honestly mate, I know so many people can relate and your openness has really inspired me to get back on it. I was about to say no to a client project as it was making me feel like I wasn't adequate for the paycheck but you'v inspired me to say yes.

I identified I had the impostor syndrome when I started to feel sus. Now jokes aside, the pandemic and quarantine made me feel this way, but thankfully I'm getting out of that. Nice video! 🐸

Love this video! As a recent graduate that juggles as an in-house designer and a lecturer, I repeatedly feel as if I’m not skilled enough to be sharing any wisdom.
The feeling always seems to creep up during busy periods. Thank you for your honesty Jesse!

Went from 70 followers to about 300 in the space of 3 weeks. I wasn't even posting during that time. So I couldn't figure out how or why that happened.. and now that it has happened and I'm up another 100 followers, I keep wondering whether what I'm going to make is actually worthy of having such a following or not
