- As graphic designers, we all suffer from burnout and creative block. I have been feeling it lately in my personal life and my graphic design practice. In this video, I wanted to reflect on this idea of creative burnout and give some tips on how you can be a more sustainable and healthy creative.

To me, having even 4 days break will stop my flow and when I come back it's like I forget how to function on my work again and it takes some days to be full power again..
I feel that a little bit, sometimes it takes me a bit After a break to get back into the swing of things. The rest though in the long term is a net positive

I’ve slowly started taking steps towards managing burnout, and one of the most fruitful steps I’ve taken so far is just turning off notification sounds. I was at a point where I could physically feel the toll the Slack knock-brush sound was having on me. Especially since people don’t typically type everything out they want to say in just one message in apps like that. What should have just been 1 notification sound for 1 message would turn into 6 sounds for each sentence they send. Silencing it has been huge for me.
That’s a great tip, I have all the sounds turned off for my apps and most notifications in general turned off. I used to hate working at the office and getting all those slack pings haha
