It's always disappointing to spend money on a shoe you end up having no use for, but I truly appreciate these types of reviews. Signature shoes are always going to have their fans & detractors, but it's outliers like these, that casual gym-goers need more info on. (Especially with that price-point.) I never looked at these seriously, but may have tried them at some point... not now. It looks like you could nail them to the ground, and still jump a couple of inches, with that stretchy upper. The grip is also a huge deal for me, as well as support on multilateral movements. It looks like UA had a bunch of Project Rock 3 uppers and Velocity Flow Wind outsoles lying around and decided to combine them. 😆
Okay... so, I picked up a pair of these for $40, during UA's most recent sale, and I have to say, I really like them. 😊 All of the points in your review are valid, but I find them very comfortable and great for HIIT style/bootcamp workouts. The outsole definitely makes them subpar for lifting heavy, but I would categorize this shoe as UA's answer to Nike's Free Metcon series. Again, this is my opinion as an athlete who likes a more cushiony ride in my most commonly used training shoes. Wore them again today at bootcamp and had no issues. My only complaint would be the upper in that, to tighten them, the lacing can cause the upper to bunch under the laces because of the bootie style. Other than that, and for the price, these are pleasantly surprising.
@@daveyadict_ glad to hear! I’m a nano / metcon guy, I have Nano X1, X2 and Metcon 7 and rotate them as needed. Might give UA a go in the near future, but planning to get the Nano X3 first 😅
@@andresamell9367 I'm a fan of the nano x. The 11 and 12 were too much of a running shoe to me. So I passed. I use 3 pairs of nano X's, the two reign 4s and reign 5 and rotate. The reigns are just so good for me.
@@daveyadict_ ay two of my faves people chatting shoes! Yeah, the reign 4 would be in a different category for me vs these due to their purpose, but even then…I’m having trouble understanding the point of the Flow 😅
Yea. Bad engineered shoe. Not sure why anyone would want to squat or do leg work in an 8mm drop. The flow tech has proven successful in basketball and the 1st place winner if the NYC marathon won in the flow tech.

Sounds like a GREAT walking shoe... this is my same opinion for Freerun 5.0's - which I do love for casual, daily use.
It’s def not bad for that context. Comfy
good job for the honest review. That's rare! Subscribed.
Welcome! That's always the goal here, to never be a company's jockey boy pushing product just for affiliate sales. Ef that.

Haha, I agree...these are kind of half-baked when it comes to construction and performance. Big L on the investment.
Bro please reply under Armour bsr 3 or bsr 4 or dynamic select.
BSR 4 if you plan to lift as well

Tribase reign 4 seem to be better well rounded show? I’m not a fan of UA but I don’t would be more inclined to the Tribase
Reign 4 is a huge go. It's a really good training shoe. I have 2 pairs and regret not buying a third when I bought the 5s.

Agreed. Feel like they’re like “this works here” now let’s put it here without a lot thought
