And Peter Porker (spider-pig) is the god uncle/babysitter to the kids. In short Comics are fun, wild, and weird.

He eventually died and transformed back into his normal body. His dying words were "I just wanted to be special". Everyone saw Peter in her arms dead and she was blamed for killing him.
Also another neat thing they did: Miles' frame rate is significantly lower in the beginning, but after he gets bitten and fully leans into his powers, it gradually becomes the same frame rate as the other Spider characters.
@@Sam-0827 Peter was one of the few people to find out that Gwen was a Spider-Woman, and he became the lizard because he wanted to be special like her. He said it himself. But later, his mind would be taken over by the lizard, and Gwen killed him without knowing that Peter was the Lizard.
In spiderman homecoming Donald Glover's character tells spiderman he has a nephew in the neighborhood and then you hear him on the phone saying "Sorry Miles I'm not gonna make it". Also Mile's creator was inspired to make him after seeing Glover wearing spiderman pajamas on the show Community, you can see the scene playing on the tv in the first scene of Uncle Aaron's apartment :)
Fun fact in the movie this Doc Ock said that her friends call her Liv. And Aunt May called her Liv when she showed up to the house, this is a reference to the fact that in the comics, the main universe version of Aunt May and Doc Ock were in a relationship and almost married. Fun Fact: Donald Glover’s character in Homecoming is actually Aaron (Miles’ Uncle), he even admits that he doesn’t want those type of weapons on the street cuz he has a nephew in the neighborhood
I was flabbergasted as well with the female Doc Ock reveal. Gender-swapping an established character in a franchise is a tricky thing to pull off. It was done well.
A note only revealed on the screenplay, is that when Miles' big moment comes, and he's doing his leap off the building, it's shot like it's upside down. Not because he's falling, but because he's finally rising to become the new Spiderman.
This is honestly not only one of the best Spiderman/superhero movies, but it's also one of the best animated movies to come out within the last few years! Everything about it is amazing from the animation to the story and the characters, with Miles being my personal favorite! I love seeing people's reactions to this movie and yours was great!
This movie was an opening to having the characters from the comics/cartoons shine more & be known. I heard this did help change Miles for the better and in the comics. Glad this movie is getting a lot of support cause I don't think in the beginning when it came out that it did for being animated. Yes Gwen was popular as a hero in 2014 & her new hero name is Ghost Spider

This movie is a freaking masterpiece. And when Uncle Aaron died... he was working for the bad guys, he’d probably killed people and everything, and still his death was not one atom less heartbreaking than any of the others. A little more than some, honestly. The actors are amazing, the script is amazing, the animation, the music, the style... just beautiful stuff.
Blonde Peter and Peter B are meant to have elements of every live action Peter. There’s clearly similarities but also differences. Like the car getting thrown through the window, Blondey punched it back instead of jumping to grab mary jane. Not to mention it looked like they were having dinner instead of the “Do you love me or not?” talk The “fruit loops” were his blood cells 😂 You can see the spider lowering itself in front of the collider beam in the first minute or so. I assume it’s glitching due to being hit by the beam All those other Spider people come from the comics, yes even Spider Ham Yeah they don’t exactly give Aaron motivation. In the comics he’s just a thief (still the prowler) and an A-hole. He blackmails Miles into helping him commit crimes after learning he’s Spider-Man Technically the meme did come from this but also not. The image pretty much everyone uses is the real image from the 60s cartoon, but that post credit scene is what ignited its use
well it's been used for years even before this movie came out, which is why they used it for this movie. they knew it was a meme so they did a little wink at the audience
You know I think you're the first person to point out that his spider sense doesn't tingle when Prowler arrives in the apartment and that didn't occur to me until now. But it makes sense because he doesn't think of Uncle Aaron as a threat.
@21:23 - not sure if anyone mentioned it already, but Gwen's version of Peter was their dimension's version of the Lizard - that's the silhouette/shadow on the wall you see her fighting right before the reveal. Also, the band she's in is called The Mary Janes - guess who the lead singer is. :p Also also, something I only just found out: one of her enemies is Kingpin aka... MATT MURDOCK, aka DAREDEVIL in the mainline continuity. Her version of Daredevil is Kingpin AND head of the Hand ninja clan. Yeah. Crazy. But wait, there's more! That version makes an easter egg cameo IN Into the SpiderVerse in the finale when Miles and Kingpin fight in the train and he sees all his alternate families - he's the adopted son of Gwen's Kingpin! The layers, man. The DEPTH!
Lord and Miller explicitly stated that "anyone can be Spider-Man" was the inspiration for the movie. "Anyone can be Spider-Man" is why there are so many alternate versions of Spider-Man in the comic books. The Spider-Man comic was wildly popular, and this took Marvel by surprise, so there was a lot of debate around the Marvel Bullpen about why Spider-Man was so popular. They decided it was because Spider-Man was the only major comic book character at the time who didn't show any skin, so anyone could imagine themselves in the costume. This led directly to the explosion of alternate Spider-Man characters in the comic books. They tried to appeal to every possible audience. It's not just racial diversity, as there is even a punk rock Spider-Man. The many versions of Spider-Man are meant to reach every conceivable demographic. Miles isn't even the first half-Latino Spider-Man, nor even the most popular. Yes,"Spider-Gwen" is from the comic books, and she and Miles have an interdimensional romance. All of these alternate versions are from the comic books. In Spider-Gwen's universe, she and Peter are very close friends, not lovers. Peter became that universe's version of the Lizard, and died as a result of that. She is being actively hunted by the chief of police, who is her father. The post-credits scene features Miguel O'Hara, also known as Spider-Man 2099. He is the most popular alternate version of Spider-Man, and when the trailers came out, a lot of people were mad he wasn't in the movie. In the comic books, he invented the wrist device that enables interdimensional travel, which in turn makes the Spider-Verse. Miles Morales was inspired by a Donald Glover interview in which he asked "Why can't I play Spider-Man?" This inspired a comic book writer with biracial kids to write the Miles Morales character.
Spiderverse is personally my FAVOURITE movie. As a black girl who wants to go into animation this movie absolutely blew me away the first time I watched it. I love how they changed Miles's personally in comparison to the comics and made him so much more fun. This movie will forever be top tier.
The best thing about the scene in the Alchemex break room is, while all the other people are pulling out their guns, there's one lady who just puts her head down like "ah FML..."
Ngl, I very much appreciated where they went with Uncle Aaron's story in the movie, instead of following the comics' original story with him. Comics made him a straight-up bad guy, who was willing to use and blackmail his nephew (before they revamped his character). And my reaction to Doc Ock was the same, I completely missed all the clues (all the octagons!).

Everything about this movie is perfect, from the pacing, to the music, voice acting, visual design. Everything. I want this universe to get worked into the MCU so badly.
Best animation and award winning movie ever. I’m excited for the next movie. You should’ve watched the trailer at the end where it picks up on the ending where Gwen Stacy asked Miles for something.
i love how miles is portrayed in this movie, for most of the movie he's just a kid trying to live up to the expectations of everyone surrounding him, and in the end he ends up quite literally becoming the ultimate spider-man.
13:34 In that scene you can see a monster shadow before Peter dead on the ground, and Peter have something like scales in the chest. In the Spider-Woman universe, Peter didnt get the spider bite so he study/part time work in the Dr. Connors laboratory, and Peter becomes The Lizard in Connors place.
girl i love your videos you're actually so funny. anyway, just wanted to say since you seemed to enjoy the music throughout, the score was made by daniel pemberton and i really recommend looking into his behind the scenes process for it because he did some really cool and unique things here.
But the reason the number 42 is used (and seen several times throughout the movie) is in reference to Jackie Robinson. Robinson being the first black baseball player in the MLB and Miles being the first black (and Latino) Spider-Man
Watching this again because it's one of my fave reactions to this movie, but I love how you're like "he's black" and then when he takes his mask off your first reaction is "haha I was right" then you realised it was Uncle Aaron LOL
No bc when I tell you this is one if THE best Spiderman movies, i’m not lyinnnn. All the screams you had was me to a T!! The twists kept twisting and had me glued to the screen all the way to the end credits
That whole scene with the spider ominously crawling over Miles while he is completely unaware that it is there, that triggers my arachnophobia so much. 😭😰
In Gwen's universe Peter was jealous that she had powers and turned himself into a lizard man. In the scene where we see Gwen's oragin story if you pay attention to when she's holding Peter it looks like he has scales on his skin, hinting to it.
Yoooo, your advertising skills are dope, I actually watched The whole sponsor segment of the video (I never do, but THIS time I did) because you made it sound so interesting and the game actually looks kinda cool. Anywho, I haven't watched you see the movie yet, but I hope you enjoyed it!
This is one of the best animated films ever. It might be the best comic book movie ever. I missed those same lines from No Way Home ("just resting" and "this is why I never had kids"), but I caught the "for me it was uncle Ben." That movie was great, but this was amazing. It did almost all of its own work in one movie. It referenced the Tobey films, but they are not required to understand this. This movie is just the best.
This is my son's favorite movie. I know it word for word because he literally uses this movie as background noise. And Sunflowers is his favorite song, he be mumbling too lol
You're going to see a lot of Miguel O'Hara (Spider-Man 2099, from the post-credits) from now on. Not only is he a very popular character among comic fans, but he was one the first (probably the very first) non-Peter Parker variant of Spider-Man in comics, his first appearance in comics being 1992, long before Miles ever came into the picture. He was among the first to show readers that anyone can wear the mask of Spider-Man. It all started with him.
While he's earlier (publication wise but not chronologically) than Miles he's definitely not the first character to be a spider hero or Spider-Man. Marvel has been playing around with variant versions of "Spider-man" for decades. From what if? to alternate timelines to contemporary 616 there are enough Spiders to fill multiple Spider events.
Spider-Noir, is voiced by Nicholas Cage. He also played Ghost Rider. Stan Lee, Michelle Yeoh, Laurence Fishburne, Chris Evans, David Hasselhoff, Lou Ferrigno, Bruce Campbell, Josh Brolin, and Michael B. Jordan also play a couple different characters in Marvel Movies.
I watched this movie recently and it’s sooooo incredible watching your reaction to it and how you noticed things I didn’t and you’re such an inspiration.I love your videos!!!🫶🏾🤍
Just to iterate, spiderman has so many different versions of his story but stuff can still be the same, Peter in this universe can have a uncle Ben just like Peter in the next universe can but they story can be two different ones completely. Where as in Gwen's world, she became spider Gwen, and Peter became the lizard. Hence why she said she saved her dad but couldn't save Peter he died when it showed her backstory. That's the beauty of the multiverse. Well.... spiderverse in this instance.

Thanks for the great reaction. You were so cute while watching this. I just watched it recently. It's a pity that I hadn't watched it sooner. Anyway, best wishes.
@Lakia, Love your reactions and how you pick up on scenes and I think you would really enjoy the theatrical order best. MCU isn't just a collection of films, its a single story (across multiple characters and brands) that has to be watched in theatrical order to truly get the pay off(s) that make it epic. Any other order and you'll miss out on the character development, why they make some questionable choices, their motivations in the moment, the significance of the end credits and Easter eggs and spoil yourself. Even if you've seen a few films, watching again in theatrical order will make them soooo much more enjoyable as you connect the dots. Can't wait to see your reactions though😀

@@Shia224 Yep yep. Marhershala Ali (idk if i spelled it correctly) Is Uncle Aaron.
There's more known names in there too. Lol
The amount of effort for that Kahoot joke 8:16 😂
Watching this again because it's one of my fave reactions to this movie, but I love how you're like "he's black" and then when he takes his mask off your first reaction is "haha I was right" then you realised it was Uncle Aaron LOL
Intense Spider bite scene:
Lakia: Froot loops?
What an intro for the ad!!! 👏👏👏
Thank you 😊
“Am I just gonna be jamming this entire movie??” YES. YES!
This movie is sooo good!!! I was also really shocked that Aaron was the enemy.
This is my son's favorite movie. I know it word for word because he literally uses this movie as background noise. And Sunflowers is his favorite song, he be mumbling too lol
We had the multiverse, a black Spider-Man; and sick animation. I cannot tell you how gassed I was after watching this film for the first time!
Into the spider verse is such a good movie I can't wait for the second 😍
I’m quarantined in my room so thank u for posting cause I’m bored and lonely
Lakia is too funny 😭 18:24
I AM SO GLAD I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO MADE THAT HANGE/LIV COMPARISON
13:59 She actually has her own comic series called Spider-Gwen in case anyone was curious. I highly recommend it
definitely one of my favorite reactions you've done!!!!
I was waiting for this! This movie is a masterpice not only the best Spiderman movie but one of the best comic book movies out there.
12:15 my ears are destroyed 😂😂
Spider-Noir, is voiced by Nicholas Cage. He also played Ghost Rider.
Stan Lee, Michelle Yeoh, Laurence Fishburne, Chris Evans, David Hasselhoff, Lou Ferrigno, Bruce Campbell, Josh Brolin, and Michael B. Jordan also play a couple different characters in Marvel Movies.
Honestly, this is not just my favorite Spiderman movie, but also my favorite Marvel movie
YES GIRL I CAN’T WAIT FOR THE MCU REACTIONS 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 i recommend watching them all in mcu order!!
Great video I started watching your channel today! Will continue to.
Thank you 😊
4:45 *yes*
The Prowler is in Tom Holland's Homecoming. He is the guy who he webs his hand to the car. The petty criminal who is like "I have a nephew.."
One of your best reactions 🤣 I died at so many different parts. Also, this is my fav Spider-Man movie I can’t wait for the sequel.
I watched this movie recently and it’s sooooo incredible watching your reaction to it and how you noticed things I didn’t and you’re such an inspiration.I love your videos!!!🫶🏾🤍
this has gotta be my favorite reaction to this movie i've seen. your editing style is SOO funny :D
Well.... spiderverse in this instance.
this movie won the oscar the year it came out --- that's how you KNOW it's good
I love your videos, you’re funny, nice, AND CHRISTIAN❤️
0:00 is that icarly backing track?!!😃IF so then loving it!! Including the sponsorship x 😁💖
Yes it was lol thanks
@@LakiaJaiTV Your welcome x I just saw your encanto vid, I was waiting for it straight after I watched online stream🙈 Keep it up with the good react vids 🤗💕x
@@christianz7939 thank you 🥰
Your reactions are the best 😂😂😂 you literally bring me so much joy
Love your reaction... The Spider Gwen and Ghost Spider comics are great and def worth a read.
21:20 btw, I'm pretty sure in her universe peter was green goblin. But I'm not 100% sure
Also if your going to do an MCU reaction I’d only suggest chronological watching or in the order they were released
This is one of the best reaction I've ever seen to anything EVER 😁
into the spiderverse came first and no way home took inspiration from this movie actually! thats why there's some similar/parallel scenes!
Your reaction to Spider-Gwen was the best reaction to that scene I've ever seen XD
Yo what is up with this GOD TIER EDITING in this video my goodness!
This is one of my favorite movies of all time and one I rewatch regularly. Glad you got to enjoy the greatness.
Be sure to check out the sequel across the spider verse trailer that came out recently.
Thanks for the great reaction. You were so cute while watching this. I just watched it recently. It's a pity that I hadn't watched it sooner. Anyway, best wishes.
Hi I love ur vids (first comment!) 🎉✨
Thank you
Yw! :D
You deserve way more attention :)
One of my favorite movies that I can always rewatch and yass the music is so good, do yourself a favor and add the movie soundtrack to your playlist
BEST SPIDERMAN NO DEBATE!!!!
I watched this movie for the first time a year ago and I WAS BLOWN AWAY I had high expectations going in but I was still speechless by the end I cried and cried when miles took his leap of faith
I look forward to you watching more of the MCU movies. I've been trying to watch them myself and I started with the Spiderman and Iron Man ones
It’s hard to believe that the people that made this…also made the emoji movie!!!!
Great reaction
19:09 “what is he wearing” my boy just died 😭😭😭
