I have not thought much about burnishing but now that the seed is planted who knows. Room to store parts and nuts and bolts is always a thing I come up short on. I need more room. Thanks for the video keep on keeping on.

    G'day Dave,
It's always great when your videos pop up.
Your shop has certainly grown over the years.
With your shop being cold in the winter I had the same problem. I installed a cheapo split system. It solved my cold 🥶 problem and helps out on those really hot days.
So thanks for sharing the knowledge man ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.

Great video Dave! I have several racks that I built that use the plastic fishing tackle organizers. They are a great way to keep small things findable for sure. Thanks for sharing!

When I put together my mini shop I installed a pallet stove for those cold snowy days here in Colorado. You have quite the collection of inspection tools I see. Like you said, you probably should get some sort of heater out there. It would probably be good for you also. Hey, just thinking. Did you ever fine any info on that old wooden tool box you got from your neighbor.

G'day Dave. Excellent review of the various projects & your shop space. The burnishing is food for thought.
    Thanks for sharing. 🎉😊

Love the video. I haven’t gotten into the art of inspection yet but have a heavy interest. Also I appreciate all the help you have given as I learn how to team and dial in my equipment.

Hi Dave. could the ball spin in the burnishing toolholder? My solution was to use a ball transfer unit which allowed the captive ball to roll on several other much smaller balls. There are lots of burnishing vids including pattern burnishing on the lathe and mill on my channel.

It was just a crude test that failed. Should have a bearing behind it.

Hi Dave. Not sure what part of the world you are in, but I am in NE Ohio and I added a Mr. Cool mini-split to my shop over Christmas. Not only will is cool my shop in the summer, but it is a heat pump, and it can be reversed. I've been keeping the shop at 62F (the lowest temp the heat mode will heat to) and the shop has been very comfortable to work in. I do turn it off overnight (my shop is fairly well insulated) and it used 20kWh in January. Just something to consider if you can afford to do something like that.

The problem is i live in an HOA that won't allow something installed outside and have thought of a split system many times. I'm in California.

Very interesting, other country, other people, other situations.👍
You have such big Garage, is that standard for a HOA?
Sorry for my perhaps "dump" Question, but i live in Europe, that is abolutely not common here.🤔
In former days i had a HOA too, but my garage was so small that my old mazda 626 was exactly fitting in,
so some acrobatic knowledge was useful to leave the car and the garage......😂
Today i have the luck to own a house with a big double garage, and my home shop 45 m² is in the basement of this garage.
Not big, but my place of fun, for the lathes, mills, shaper and all the other machine tools.

@@TheMiniMachineShop HOAs, the scourge of polite society. 😉 Any chance you could apply for a waiver?

Hi, when you have a $2M home you get a three car garage with it. So I use two slots since my wife wants to park outside. And just to be sure HOA means home owners association controlled.@@schwellenzaehler4564
