    I am the sister that went with Mom and the Great Aunt, the dancers would give their head dresses of flowers to my aunt after their dance. We rented a car and went down every road we could find and even to the mts. The water was so beautiful I would pull over and swim for a while then back to see more. There was a booze cruise to watch the sun go down, which we went on and it was fabulous. Mom loved to swim, so I paddled the wooden boat and a half naked gal from Cal went with us to swim 1 way, then she paddled back, and I swam with Mom back, Mom swam the full time. The Great Aunt turned 90 on the trip, she went everywhere with us, the only thing with taking someone that is 90, she flew her silverware, yep, I had to pack it, don't ask, just do! Glad you loved this island as much as Mom and I did, love this one Tressa! I would go again!

    I have been fascinated with Tahiti after reading the James Michener novel 25 or so years ago while serving in the Peace Corps. I think it was called "Tales of the South Pacific". I'll never forget him saying that Bora Bora was the most beautiful island in the world, and since reading that, it has always been a dream to go there. I have heard that Mo'orea is just as beautiful.

    I’m glad you talked about the lack of drama on the cruise. Great video

    • @bztravel

      Much to the disappointment of those craving drama on TikTok, this journey has been as mellow as a calm sea, with very few people under 60, it's been a drama-free zone through and through. It's refreshing, really, to be part of a voyage like this, no drama is the best kind of drama. Thanks again for watching, and we're glad you enjoyed the video!

    My husband and I stood on the shore by Cook's Bay for our 25th Anniversary photo ten years ago this May. Thanks for bringing back memories of our time in Mo'orea. You spent your day very much as we did, sightseeing, swimming and drinking local beer. Our ship did an overnight in Bora Bora and some of the guests got off and stayed in those bungalows built over the water. I have always wanted to return, just to have that experience. This was an awesome video, as usual. You captured the beauty of the island perfectly. Also, thanks for the peek at what happens after 9:00. zzzzz.......love it!

    We are loving your videos. We will be in Mo’orea April 30th, 2025. Do you recall who you booked your tour with?

    • @bztravel
      @bztravel  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We book it at the dock as soon as we got out of the ship. The cost for the entire van was $300 and we share it with friends. No idea if we overpay or what else was offered. There were many people offering tours.

    That's it - I want to move there. That is just stunning - and what a lovely story about your mum. I don't blame you for wanting to go back - what a simply amazing place. How lucky the locals are to be born there! When the driver was talking about their exports, I was waiting for him to say pearls - South Pacific black pearls are world famous. You sounded disappointed that there weren't any partiers on board?! Did they party before - maybe they are partied out?! I am loving this journey with you - thank for again for sharing -

    • @bztravel
      @bztravel  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Mo'orea's beauty is indeed the kind that calls to the soul, making the thought of moving there all the more enticing. The lack of partying is simply a sign of a well-traveled, contented crowd 'partied out' from past adventures!

    This is the best one I've seen so far. I had stopped watching your videos because some of your previous videos had judgmental and sometimes offensive statements. However, not only was this video gorgeous, your stirred up excitement as you portrayed this beautiful island. I love the story about your mom. And finally, you taking the time to get the correct pronunciation of Mo'orea really touched me as I am hopeful that this channel is working on being culturally responsive and responsible.

    • @bztravel
      @bztravel  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for your honesty and for giving our latest video a shot. We get it, not every video is everyone's cup of tea. We make these videos as a way to capture our own experiences and memories, sharing them with folks who are into seeing the world through our eyes.
      It's a big, wide world out there, and yep, we all have our judgments - it's human nature. You pointed out that some of our past content didn't sit right with you, and that's fair. We're all about being real, and sometimes that means we might rub some people the wrong way. But that's life, right? We're not here to sugarcoat our travels or our thoughts.
      Hearing that you appreciated our effort with Mo'orea's pronunciation and enjoyed the story about our mum means a lot. We're trying, in our own way, to do right by the cultures and places we visit.
      But here's the deal: we're sticking to our guns, making videos that are true to us, our views, and how we experience these places. We're glad you found something to like in our latest work, and hopefully, you'll find more to enjoy in the future. If not, that's cool too. The world's full of different tastes and opinions, and that's what makes it interesting. Cheers for watching, and here's to more adventures, however they-may come.
