Took a trip to bali.. got a small bite/scratch from a monkey at a park.Had to have so many rabies shots even after I got home..Glad I had travel insurance saved me $6000
Quite the adventure getting ready for a world cruise. My daughter & family went to live in Africa (US Embassy duty) for a couple of years, and were thankful the Embassy provided the anti-malaria meds for their family of 5. They did have to get a preliminary prescription and doses before they flew out, and were able to consult with a travel clinic here in Delaware. I had a lot of those shots in the US Military, but imagine many are out of date by a long stretch. Good conversation for my next regular appointment.
Thank you for your videos! This one was helpful, plus your post on FB regarding the local currency you are bringing. We will be joining you in Buenos Aires thru the end to Miami (need to spend the upcoming holidays with family 😄). Thank you again!
Never heard of the alternative to Deet. I must be a very sweet person because mosquitoes adore me. Everything is bigger in Texas including the mosquitoes and I usually spend 2 to 3 weeks in Illinois and Wisconsin each summer. I’ve always thought the reason Deet repels mosquitoes is because it also repels people. It stinks. Definitely gonna try this.
Happy New Year Tony! Thank you for a 2023 filled with great content. We took our first cruise in November, and loved it! It was in large part to your advice that we were able to find the right cruise for us.
No such thing as rabies here in Australia, so no need to be worried about our vicious koalas! I look forward to cruising along with you around the world. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. ...Roger (South Australia)
Hi, I actually went to my closest Passport Health office yesterday for my Regent Seven Seas 2024 world cruise. I was impressed with the travel products they have for sale. Did a check with Amazon pricing and the PH cost three dollars more than Amazon. I am always happy with the recommendations from the medical professionals at PH.
Oh my goodness so many injections for all the different countries but it’s always better to be protected and safe I’m learning so much from your videos and this is only the second one that I watched thank you
What an absolutely fantastic video! Really helpful and informative, thank you! I have subscribed and am excited to follow your adventures. A heads-up for those who might need it: if you are sensitive to vaccinations, plan in advance and get them spaced out. As an example shingrix shots need to be taken a good few weeks apart. Furthermore, that one in particular knocked me off my feet. Terrible aches/flu symptoms for three days. YMMV, of course.
Another option for prescriptions is cost plus. I’m in the deductible phase of my health insurance and I have a three month supply of Celebrex sitting at the pharmacy at Costco, I owe $418. If you go onto cost plus a three month supply of the same dose would be $17. Of course the drawback is cost plus doesn’t accept my insurance but since I’m in the deductible it doesn’t really matter for me. There’s only two of my injectable medication‘s It doesn’t cover.
They provided some general guidance, however we got most of our information by going directly to our health department or to a company like travel health. They gave us very detailed guidance and recommendations for every country we were going to.
We got most the information from our local Health Department that's what the cruise recommended that we do we check with them or a travel health professional
Our travel agent recommended AIG Travel Guard and that's who we used. It's difficult on the cost because it's different for every person depending on your age etc. Best thing to do is speak with someone about it. Steve over at the travel insurance store has helped a lot of people on the ship I recommend you talk to them. Hope that's helpful
Hi guys! I live in Brazil my hole life, different cities and altitudes, both big cities and country side. I can tell you that mosquitoes bite even if you are wearing long sleeves! So don’t trust your clothes to help you with that!
Found your channel and instantly fell in love with both your personalities and content! Enjoy your cruise, I am binge watching it
Thanks so much!!

It would be a good conversation. Especially if you are traveling at this time.
Great information. Thank you.
Our pleasure!

Thanks comma glad it was helpful. See you soon!
Phew! I bet your arms hurt. I went to Bermuda in 2018ish and was surprised that we didn't need anything extra.
They were tender for a couple of days.
Fascinating and useful. And kinda scary!
Thank you.

Part of the worldwide travel experience. But it's worth it. Welcome to the phase 2 flock.
Thank you I truly enjoy watching y’all

Not bad advice. Fortunately, we really had no ill side effects

Thanks for sharing how you handle your prescriptions. There’s several ways to accomplish getting prescriptions aboard such a long cruise.
Back in 2022 we booked a cruise for the family. One week before we sailed, our 4 year old tested for Covid so we had to cancel. That stunk.
Oh that’s too bad. You’ll have to try again.
Super informative and interesting 👍 👌 👏
Glad you liked it
Hi you two, do Royal Caribbean communicate and provide all mandatory vaccination requirements leading up to the world cruise?
They provided some general guidance, however we got most of our information by going directly to our health department or to a company like travel health. They gave us very detailed guidance and recommendations for every country we were going to.
Did the ship tell you about any of the vaccines medical stuff you may need and for your prescriptions would they store it for you?
We got most the information from our local Health Department that's what the cruise recommended that we do we check with them or a travel health professional
Wow, never thought about allllll the vaccines.
Yup.
14 VACCINATIONS OH BUDDY R.I P. I WOULD NEVER TOUCH SINGLE ONE......
Everyone has to do what’s right for them!
Exactly and I was planning on going too...well I'll stick to my 3-7 day cruises
I wonder if you could also talk about what sort of travel insurance yor have and approx how much it was for 9 months.
Our travel agent recommended AIG Travel Guard and that's who we used. Thanks for the heads up. We agree. The biting black flies are like that in michigan. That's why we also recommend using the permethrin.
My doctors don't use paper scripts. My meds are free from my insurance.
We had to make a special request to get the paper one to bring to Royal Caribbean
Sick 🤢
You’ve got to have them.
