This is a precious animal, especially its blood because without its blood, there will be no medicine or vaccine what so ever. And human does not do much to protect it; instead, we cook it, even its eggs. What a shame!
First off, horshoe crab blood is not a necessity for vaccines, much less medicine. The discovery of the properties of their blood was in the 1950's while the firat vaccine was developed in 1798. Secondly, LAL substitutes have been in development in recent years so even without horshoe crabs, they would still be a way to test vaccines.

There are 4 types of horseshoe crabs, only 2 types of them exist in the gulf of Thailand and they are not endangered. The endangered types doesn’t exist in the gulf of Thailand.
It actually looks tasty af, a lot to do with prep. We got plenty of Horseshoe craps where I live , and plenty if backwater florida men to cook them, but I've never seen any do so yet, and I've eaten enough gator turtle and snake. I really wanna try this.
