Im glad an electric car is working out for you. I just had this conversation with my son who works at Tesla. He was thinking about getting one. I brought up the pros and cons for him to consider. You listed the pros in your video. The cons as I see them are as follows. Yes they are much cheaper to charge, but there is also the time involved if you dont have a home charger. Time is money and standing around the super charger station for an hour is worse than pumping gas for 5 minutes. Also, you have to do your math by cost per mile rather than fill up cost. Even accounting for money saved on maintenance and gas, battery replacement costs make keeping the car longer than a few years prohibitive. When you sell a used electric vehicle that needs batteries replaced you take a huge hit. Depreciation is high. The math I've done still has economy gas vehicles cheaper to own. My gas guzzling Silverado may even be cheaper because it maintains a great resale value. A lack of infrastructure is also a concern for cross country travel. Extreme weather, cold or hot, affects battery life and efficiency. I'd love to own an electric vehicle as I have a 104% solar system on my home and have the extra free power. But I think I'll wait for battery technology to improve or have one as an in town only vehicle.

I have a diesel BMW and a gas Harley-Davidson. The new Chevy Equinox EV looks a little like the Porsche Macan- better in fact. The tech looks nice too. I'm coming around to new tech. Nice video :)

Well gas prices affect what you pay for everything so you aren't completely insulated.
