notes from my experience playing leroy : -db1,3 is the best setup for b1+2 ch -u can do 1,1,1+2,1 after ch ss4 -df3,1 is actually 0 frames on block :o -spam 1 when ur enemy is 1 hp and do d2,4. its really really hard to react to it -qcf2 is really good -if u hit a b3, do this combo ( b3 b3 df1 2,2 uf3+4, 1+2 ) note : u can not do the 1+2 at the end if opponent wallsplats, just do a wall combo for more dmg

Fast forward to 2022 and after numerous nerfs nobody plays Leroy anymore, but for some reason people still bitch about him lmao. Reminds me of the situation with Hwoarang where people barely play him at mid/high level, but everybody has PTSD from getting destroyed in the green ranks by some scrubby Hwoarang spamming unsafe stuff.
Honestly I find him ungodly easy to master. Alot of these suggestions are good and I used them since his debut. I am still trying to work on that one combo but I am trying to figure out a big boy combo too where you can uf 4, d 3, f1, and probably go into something else or continue on with another d 3, f 1. I was surprised at one point in the vid after tendo ff 2, 2 combod then red raged. Match was over for sure after the FF 2, 2 because when I do it I red rage and it's over. I just don't know how to do that two hit kick thing. I know you can cancel his stance with keybind l1 which should be 1+4 I believe. I have duped people into red raging when I cancel the stance because when you cancel the stance you can block standing no problem. Also the stance parries low blue rages like Hworang's. Leroy is so BS nerffed or not.
Pro Tip: After Performing orbital (U/F~4) Do Parry Punch (U/F~1). Parries in Opening Frames, And Extended Reach on Finish. Can Counter if Attempted To Punish Orbital Before it. Let Me Know if This Tip Was useful, i can Provide more.
I went against a leroy a couple minutes ago For context i'm a 3'rd dan yoshimitsu and he is a mentor He used 3-6 moves his parry being one of them When we first fohught he already had 13 wins from someone else I hate every single seconed this character is in the game
I lost to a lars today... and learnt that im slow in punishing by about 0.5 seconds and that gives lars enough time to recover and block. What a great discovery... mash against lars players got it,
Ok now serious question. T7 is my first tekken. I am currently playing Lee switched from julia and the furthest i am currently is juggernaut with around 600 wins + not counted losses. Is it that easy to climp the ranks with leroy should i switch?
Even though most leroys online are free and just salty flow charters, I'm gona go ahead and say he's still OP cos I can't imagine how hard it would be to run into one with even just average fundamentals
