I think his thoughts while Anakin betrayed him were "Ahhh AHHHH!"
Weirdly, I’d like to think Mace’s last thought was: “Mothaf**kaaaa!!!!”
Betrayed by the chosen one, a recently freed slave child he almost literally started trusting in that single moment, and shot out the window by force lightning; yeah, there’s NO way that some screams of pain weren’t his last thoughts.

"The lightning blasted away what remained of his life". Mace died says it right there.
@@ronanwaring3408 I had the audio book years ago, I don’t recall the first part of that passage. All I remember is that “Mace fell forever”
I often like to think what would've happened if Anakin didn't kill Windu in that moment. He would've gotten the rank of Master (since Windu told him he would let go of his beef if Ani was right about Palpatine). As a Master he would've been able to access the Jedi archives, which would've shown him how to cure/save Padme. He would've still fulfilled his prophecy by killing the Emperor and Dooku, thus destroying the Sith, and with major influence in the Council alongside Padme in the Senate they could've changed the galaxy for good.
The sad part is that Palpating was so devious like Iago in the Othello who poisoned Anakin piece by piece with part of truth and part of lie. Palpating successfully made Anakin stepped into internal conflict and questioned everything he believed. What have I done said Anakin, he realized that he was deceived when everything was revealed. And unfortunately, he was too young and so conflicted that he failed believing in himself that he might have the ability to terminate Palpating once and for all. So he kneel down in front of his new master 😢
@@user-cp5xd2vw4u Anakin understood that in case of refusal, he would also fly after Mace Windu out the window struck by lightning and would definitely not be able to save anyone. His thorny path helped Anakin grow up, become smarter, rethink a lot, admit that he was wrong, especially since he learns better from the Jedi than from the Sith. It feels like the force specifically sent Anakin to Sidious for re-education so that Anakin could learn to fight and think like a Sith in order to fulfill the prophecy.
if mace had decided to build a productive relationship with anakin things could have been different.

Emperor lost that duel mace overpowered the Emperor and got the high ground but once Anakin showed up the emperor pretended to act weak to manipulate Anakin

No it isn't! There are no copies of it published with the Legends banner. Also, it is present in the official canon timeline on readstarwars.com
@@RetneysHolocron Wait, what? That was weird. But the novel mentions events that are from Legends, and it was officially categorized under the Legends banner. Errors can happen.
@@59rlmccormack The novelization mentions stuff from the EU because of when it was written! It's still considered loosely canonical. It is NOT under the Legends banner

You can tell that Mace Windu use the dark side to fight Palpatine but he knows how to control it. I think that's why he couldn't feel Anakin's Betrayal. Mace Windu's judgment was clouded
The window pilot was to blame for treating Anakin badly, although he could help the guy with curbing the dark side for the common good so that it would not get out of control. Because Windu knew better than others what could happen in this case.

No. Anakin was just doing the will of the Force. The field Marshal is not to blame just because he was simply following the orders of the high command. And people do not understand the opinion of the goddess of their world and them it is difficult to accept her decisions..
Before I even watch this - His thoughts better be - "Well I brought that shit on myself" & after the REAL Force lightning hit him( Because Palpatine was CLEARLY Throwing the fight) - " Oh Shit ! , That REALLY Hurt, Just how much was he holding back ?" , Then this is all Bullshit still trying to put Mace "The Flop" Windu Over , We had a Great Windu - That Anime Style Clone Wars , But George Lucas Went right out of his way to destroy it - made a way shitter version & then Put his fingers in his ears and started screaming "NON CANON ! NON CANON !!" At the top of his lungs , Then thought - "Well I win that argument because I ignored EVERYONE'S Point Of View And Said Non Canon" ..
He didn’t defeat the emperor. They were evenly matched and he purposely let him get the upper hand to manipulate anakin.
That also doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have beaten palpatine.

Windu never payed attention to Anakin, that is why he already lost to Palpatine long before their duel. Mace is no Master!

What? Yes he did, and he knew that Anakin was emotionally unstable, that's why he told him to stay in the chambers.
The only thing Anakin's betrayal proved was that Mace's suspicions about Anakin were right all along.
Of course Mace was a Master. He just was not infallible
