In canon Sidious spoke on each of his apprentices saying Tyranus was nothing more than a pawn never meant to be a Sith, Vader is a shell of his former self, and that Maul was true loss.
It was quite the opposite in most Legends quotes with him saying Maul had been nothing more then a minion like Asajj And Grievous while he recognized in Dooku the makings of a true accomplice while thinking of Anakin before the handicappings as a possible successor and after the unableness as the creations of the ultimate right hand person so clearly in Legends with force potential and overall usefulness it was Anakin before and after the cripplers over Dooku and Dooku over Maul so yeah.
I'll sum it all up simply. He ended up being disappointed with all of them.
Yet another reason to make Light side choices: the dark side leads to disappointment.
Palpatine never intended to be replaced. Maul was supposed to eliminate any threats to the Sith grand plan as an assassin, Tyranus was meant to start the Clone Wars, Vader would've been a potential successor due to his unmatched force potential, but his lava bath made him weakened and unworthy to replace Sidious.

Exactly & that’s why I respect Palpatines honesty here , the Rule of 1 needed to be focused on later on because the rule of 2 at that time period was never gonna work out long term 🤷🏾♂️✅.
@@elmermedina1713In Legends that was the case but in Canon Maul was meant to be a potential successor to Sidious he had a potency more upper then Talzins yeah he had his eyes on Dooku even before Maul lost on Naboo but not as a apprentice but as a dark acolyte then once Maul got physically, mentally, and emotionally disbanded after his losing he saw Dooku as a apprentice since Maul before the Dathomir Magics healed most of him was too damaged up to be much use then Anakin showed up on his radar and Sids decided Anakin would possibly be his final apprentice since he had a count higher then everyone else no exceptions then once Anakin got burned and unlimbed on Mustafar then he tried to replace him multiple times yeah.
I wish Anakin was trained by Windu(guardian) or Yoda (counselor) but I love Kenobi

I think out of all them. Vader was probably his favorite. I mean even with the armor he still was stronger than both maul and tyranuse.
Funny, he tortured Vader the most and always downgraded him as a shell of his former self.

Another reason why I love the DarkSide so much because they are actually honest with each other in a sense of one being a failure in the partnership gets no passes 👏🏾.

I wonder what would the Galaxy think if these texts were revealed to the public. For 100% the Galaxy would have 😮 „Picacu face” if they knew that not only Palpatine was a tyrant emperor but also was a Sith who in a shadows prepared the clone wars

@@Eki718 yes I know that but count Dooku did have plans to make grievous an apprentice if I remember he killed sifo dyas and try to have his blood transfused into grievous to become his apprentice

Not a messenger, a loss. Palpatine genuinely had Maul as his heir (of all named characters besides Anakin, and maybe Luke and Savage, Maul has the most potential) before his loss to Obi-Wan.

@@YamiAi actually, I prefer that over the rule too I don’t get what’s the whole point of having an apprentice that’s just gonna try to kill you in the end that’s just so dumb to me, so I rather have all the power to myself
@@jonathantorres4085 I think it's smarter to have a huge like in the old republic, but removing the whole apprentices killing their masters is necessary, the sith sabotage themselves to death all the time

@@jonathantorres4085I think the Ideal master/apprentice pair would be both ruling and sharing power together, like Vader and Luke would’ve probably been if Luke had joined Vader in overthrowing Sidious
Dooku was an odd apprentice. Sidious of course never liked him because he had been a Jedi, and because Sidious had to share power with him, and of all the apprentices Dooku was the closest to a partner because of the way he had become a Sith. Dooku had too key of a role in the Grand Plan for Sidious to ever really be able to yank his chain. Sidious only touched Dooku with the Force once or twice. On top of that, Dooku was already a Grand Master level Light Side user, and already a powerful Dark Side user by TPM. He was already a perhaps the greatest swordsman in the galaxy. There was little more a Sith Master could teach him without giving up the game of the highest end Sith Master powers which would make the apprentice too powerful. Which was the other issue: He didn't get a chance to mould Dooku like his other apprentices; Sidious was master, but his apprentice was older, as skilled a politician, more experienced generally, a better swordsman and a master of a skill-set that was dangerous who had already trained two Jedi Masters. It was always a tenuous alliance.
In Legends Dooku was considered Yodas prized Pupil for his potential, current power levels, poltical acumen, government know how, philosophy, and being greatly gifted with the force and a saber even as a initiate Yoda saw greater potential in Dooku then every other Jedi including Windu which is one of the reasons he trained Dooku one on one that and Dooku was brought to the order at like four or five years old so younger then Anakin was and from a world close to the republic from a wealthy family his first taste of combat was when he was nine years old with force powers such as telekinesis, force shields, force barriers, force senses, force speed, and force reflexes he was so good that he was the only student Yoda did not go easy on and needed to put some effort into beating Dooku won competitions beyond easily in one on one force battle spars in games like The 12 and under tournament as a nine year old and Push Feather also at the same age. He also as a seven year old easily telekenetically lifted a plant that weighed many hundreds of pounds without struggle while most people his age lifted only leafs. As a Jedi Master he was the leading expert teacher on Telekenesis after Yoda easily without fail lifting all the council chairs and other furniture. Plus being Yodas prized student he most likely learned a great deal with tutiminus as well as force healing. Plus beast control, battle meditation, telepathy and more all before pledging himself fully or close enough to Palps cause. He already had a great study of dark side powers even before his quitting the order. Plus Plagueis saw Dooku as a insurance apprentice should Sidious not go as originally intended while he only saw Maul, Sifo Dyas, And Qui Gon as unworthy of a sith or sith lord title unlike himself, Dooku, And Palpatine. Plus in Sidious mind he already had his eyes on Dooku to join him as a sith even before Maul got beaten alive or not thinking that while he worked on other potential replacements for his previous apprentice the Savage Darth Maul who in reality was a assassin like Ventress And Grievous even if more powerful in potential and current power levels he saw in Dooku as a true worthy ally for a partnership showing he had higher opinion for Dooku even when Dooku was still a Jedi and even more so once Dooku joined him. Also when he was offing Plagueis he kept referring to Maul as a assassin never saying anything like "I intend for Maul to fill the actual apprentice role" he intended that for Dooku if he joined of course even before Maul got the boot on The Theed Palace to fill the apprentice position so they could possibly find immortality together until he heard about Anakin with Maul if he succeeded serving as there assassin with Maul possibly having Asajj as his assassin and Asajj having Grievous as hers if not for The Skywalkers, The Solos Within Leias Line, Or The Mereks then Dooku would of been his final apprentice as long as he continued to do a good job yeah.

why is it not emphasised that Dooku's sitt lord name is Darth Tyrannus more than as it is today - just asking, just posting a question!

Exactly. In the movies as well as ninety percent of videos only refer to him by his original and jedi name, even though he was never a jedi in either of the movies, but always the Sith apprentice Darth Tryanus.

In Canon Talzin was ditched for Maul then Maul was a physically and mental mess after being beaten on Naboo before Talzin fixed most of him with Dathomir magics, Dooku was too old and lacked a long lifespan like Yoda plus was more independent in thinking plus got captured by pirates that one time which was embarrasing, Anakin became armless and legless as well as burnt up on Mustafar, Luke refused to replace his Father, And Ray also cancelled the arrangement yeah.

He could yield force lightening (reserved for sith lords), use telekinesis with great ability... If he is no sith, then I don't know who is. Also, he seemed to be in charge after the death of the emperor.
Both Snoke and Kylo Ren were not Sith! They were simply dark side Force users.
