Trading 6 things back and forth for hours to make enough cash to buy anything is extremely tedious.
I got this for 1.99 usd during a switch sale. I was a huge Star Control fan back in the Sega Genesis days so this is a very nice game for casual star trading and lite combat. It looks good and is an enjoyable pass time.

Such a sigh of relief after seeing this one. I was worried about visuals and performance but I feel those fears have been alleviated. Space fanatic so I will be grabbing this one once I get home from work.
I think this is defiantly going on the wish list I've always been a big SpaceSim/|Fighter fan since the late 80's. Star Citizen is my main game so having something a little more basic would scratch the itch when I'm in need of a quick session
@@pablocruz5613 I have not. Reviews seem a little mixed. Some people complaining that it's basically a mobile game. Have you tried it? If so, what are your impressions?
So going from the screenshots and this video, it's like it a mix of Elite and Rebel Galaxy, with a mix of No man's sky's space sections. This game reminds me a lot of Rebel Galaxy, a game I absolutely loved playing specifically because of the ship-to-ship combat and the variety of ships to use. I sincerely hope that at some point Rebel Galaxy can come to the Switch, as it feels like while similar, Space Commander is a dumbed down version of it.
I played Galaxy on Fire 2, its one of the best games on mobile before but idk if it still on the market. Its kind of the same but a bit better. I liked that you can go into planets or something

I admit, I didn’t have much of an interest in this one and this makes me feel better about passing this up. But it seems that fans who like the stuff seen in this will get something out of it. Thanks for the review.
It looks more of a low-fi, early version Star Citizen. It looks like it had promise but several things are missing. They should have up graded graphics for the Switch. Add more management features for the ships and different game play play loops like exploration in unknown but dangerous areas, bounty hunting and pirating (if you want to be a bad guy). The Trade seems automatic and the management on the light side. With those few things and the addition of updates once in a while this could have been a really top notch Switch game. But repetitive game play is a death sentence to any game like this.
It is an arcade shooter game with trade and such. You cannot walk around or land anywhere you want. The missions pay often you just enough to repair your ships and keep a little. It is free to play now, but if you want it to play well, you need to pay for the good stuff. Have your card ready or slug it out with the trade grind. I have fun in it because of the arcade thing. The ships and fighting are cool. I give it a 7 out of 10.
