I lived in Xinjiang, too, from 2013 to 2018. After August 2016, Chen Quanguo became Party Secretary and started turning Xinjiang into a police state. Many businesses were forced to change their names. All parks and squares had gates installed around them with metal detectors and security checks. New police stations were build on a grid pattern across the city, with young, inexperienced, new police officers patrolling the streets and racially profiling people who don't look Han. Workers in public sector jobs like government offices, hospitals, and public schools and universities were forced to spend random weekends and holidays of their free time without overtime pay living in rural minority homes to monitor their behaviour. Many Han people with the means to leave just left due to frustration with the over-the-top measures limiting their quality of life. It was truly a nightmare.

USA Canada has had residential schools set up for over 100 years, where indigenous children are raped, abused and forcefully taken away from their parents. China is becoming more transparent everyday and it follows that the global community can get a better grasp of the Chinese culture. Most of our goods originate in China and this has been a very satisfying experience, speaking personally. The business end is very user friendly and the quality has risen consistently over the last decade. We meet students in our own country that are very mannerly and well reared and a credit to their Chinese parents. China has a lot to be proud of and has already made huge progress from a humble beginning.

Many businesses were forced to change their names. All parks and squares had gates installed around them with metal detectors and security checks. New police stations were build on a grid pattern across the city, with young, inexperienced, new police officers patrolling the streets and racially profiling people who don't look Han. Workers in public sector jobs like government offices, hospitals, and public schools and universities were forced to spend random weekends and holidays of their free time without overtime pay living in rural minority homes to monitor their behaviour. Many Han people with the means to leave just left due to frustration with the over-the-top measures limiting their quality of life. It was truly a nightmare.

The business end is very user friendly and the quality has risen consistently over the last decade. We meet students in our own country that are very mannerly and well reared and a credit to their Chinese parents. China has a lot to be proud of and has already made huge progress from a humble beginning.

Why is China not investigating the source of COVID-19?
Anyone remember a few years ago an UN and multi country delegation visited Xinjiang and the whole western world boycott that? Actually BBC journalists visited several training centres in Xinjiang and made a documentary (you can find that clip by google). They did not find any evidence of “genocides” but still saying “no transparency”. I read many articles by Frank on 《泽林视点》of 德国之声，he lived in China for over two decades and hold genrally a balanced view about China. Even he is unable to travel to Xinjiang now, I do hope he can do so when the pandemic is under control. I just want to ask Frank one question: based on your 20 year’s experience in China, do you really believe the so called “genocide” is a China gov policy and is happening? What is the basic of transparency if reporter has bias opinions. The reports is still inaccurate and what good are bad reportings to the world. Frank is a bias person because he prefers western reporting with acceptance of bad reporters allowing to push something based on their own opinions. This is creating confusions instead of truth and if that Frank's preference then he and those type of reporters and system are only good for their own kind. Then they should not spread it outside but remains in their own countries since p not all the others share the same view and value.
