Absolutely floored!!! Thanks so much to Treehouse for putting this type of content together. Honored to have come out on top this round, and I hope you continue to do this type of thing for the homebrew community 🙏 I'm going to spend 2025 focused on honing my IPA recipes!
What would be really cool is to see David (or future winners) be able to send their recipes in for you to brew at Treehouse on small scale. Whether they flew in for a joint brew session, you brewed on a micro scale and sent to David, or even… hear me out.. an experimental series using recipes that win these competitions.. a little crazy I know but so many fun possibilities! Love this content, keep it up!
Both beers look the goods! I wonder if the finalists will post their recipes for their fellow homebrewers? Love all the homebrew content - being in Melbourne my chances of actually tasting Tree House is pretty slim but love learning from the best.
I think it would be cool to see Nathan with treehouse, vinnie with russian river, john with alchemist, ken with sierra nevada all sit down and talking about how IPA was started and how its changed over the years. We gotta make this happen!!! All the legends sitting in one room!
This was awesome. I hope I catch wind of the next contest. What a treat that would be to have Nate be able to taste my homebrewed Hazy and provide feedback.
Nate love the video's . My suggestion for content would be ,doing video of your latest new beers or craft cocktails or liquor. Explanation of what went into making
Re you comment about “bitterness “. I think this could/can be about where you are in your brewing arc. If you made a load of grapefruit ipa’s your running from the bitterness. The trend I’m not liking is the lack of a malt backbone in a beer. It’s supposed to let the hops “shine” but for me it’s second to hop water and just kills the joy. I suspect it’s the use of pilsner grain. It’s even in west cost ipa now. Also should west coast really be heavy on the chloride?

Congrats David. Both your beers sound like ones I'd order. You were worthy opponents.
Congrats David, super fun experience to be involved in.
Rogue Batsquatch is a great hazy IPA also Squatters Juicy IPA is a great go to for a Utah brew
Great series! Bring Treehouse to Oregon!!! :)

Congrats! Keep up the great work🍻
I do like this content. And your recipe or hop videos. HBC 1019 was such a good recommendation.
which particular style next? maybe something tough like brown or dunkel?
I’m a 60IBU or bust with even my hazy IPAs. Totally agree on the bitterness.

No beverage of the year video?
Has anyone ever asked why the text on your hats are always upside down? I am confused by this.
Nice!! I live in Eugene. Hook a brother up David!

Evening Nate, welcome to 2025🎉
