In this video I unboxed the special fallout 4 loot crate! This was one of those "give us 100 bucks for a giant and weird loot crate" and boy I sure am glad i got one, because it was awesome. I did not pay for this crate though it was given to me by lootcrate for a christmas gift and possibly for review purposes. I am not sure which!

Who has anything to put pins on? at least do magnets, those can get tossed onto the fridge), a bright blue and yellow laptop bag that can't be used in any kind of professional setting, and a flag? Only cool thing in there was the hoodie.

It's not like this has negatively-impacted my day or I can't sleep well at night because of it. But, c'mon... Pip Boy? Fallout Boy? Fall Out Boy is a band and Simpsons character and the Pip-Boy is the wrist mechanism in Fallout, so why would Vault Boy have that name? On top of that, he got the Vault Boy bobblehead in the November Loot Crate and, if I'm not mistaken, it says "Vault Boy" on it.
Undead creature If you want to be technical: No, you cannot be a fan of the game if you don't "no" the name of Vault Boy. Keep in mind, the word "fan" is short for "fanatic." But, let's not be technical: I still think that, in order to be a Fallout fan of an kind, you still should know the name of Vault Boy. I've played every Fallout game there is and not even I know everything about the Fallout universe because it's so expansive. Regardless, Vault Boy's name is entry-level knowledge.
Also, just a little "FYI":

ThinkGeek had/has a box too. Mine had hoodie, vault-boy lunchbox, fallout 4 flag, 111 gear door keychain, Nuka Cola shot glass, Fallout 4 flag and my favorite, a 7 inch 111 Intelligence bobble head. I wish it would have had the BOS flag but IMO it had better stuff than the Loot Crate one.
Oh and a 111 backpack.

Now, you don't know what you're going to get because you don't know if this month they cheaped the fuck out and filled the box with pins and useless shit. It's gone from a cool surprise every month, to the equivalent of gambling: spend 20-30 bucks and pray you get your money's worth.

Lootcrate definitely needs to keep their business model the way it is! The cool thing about the service is that it is genuinely always a surprise. If they showed off some of the things that would be coming in the crate, then it would eventually just evolve into a licensed merch store with exclusive loot crate items. Who would want that!
The only crate I've ever got was the vsauce crate. Never got an actual Loot Crate, but these would be really great gifts for kids if you got little brothers or sisters.

This crate is a waste for the pricetag. I mean the only thing really worth anything is the Hoodie and i've seen those in stores for like $30. The rest of it is just.. what? At most this crate would have been a good deal for maybe $50, but at $100 I expected some high class and high quality stuff. Not to mention they give you crap like buttons.. what the hell about Bottlecaps? The main source of an economy? How about a Bobblehead? Oh wait, that was in the monthly crate and even that was just generic, not even a special one. Lootcrate just showing its quality has hit the dirt since it got all of this popularity.

I absolutely loved the Fallout crate. Considering that the hoodie itself is at least 60 bucks, I'm more than happy to pay for it. I wear my Vault 111 hoodie pretty much every day.

I think a good idea might be a mass unboxing. Like "okay, here's all my crates for the month, let me show you highlights of the best/my favorite items in the crates", edit it down to 10 minutes, give brief mentions/sweeping shots of whatever you didn't talk about in the highlights.
Since a specialty crate doesn't come around too too often, I think you could make it it's own video. But if you do a lot more of them or there's backlash, a consolidated best of video might be the way to go. But you really only do one a month most times so a second video a month every other month or two should be totally reasonable.

i personally wouldnt mind you ordering the special boxes and opening them. I enjoy watching you open them and i like the fact you are genuine and analyse wether its actually worth the price tag. Most youtubers just shove them down your throat without any mention of its value.
I say go for it and buy all the fancy crates, I like seeing all the different stuff from the crates. If you dont want to flood your regular channel, you could always put them on your gaming channel. Also, you should get a mega crate (at least just once)!

I think this crate was a hit not miss. yes it's $100 dollars but its well worth the money. Just go to the Bethesda store and see the prices. hoodie is $60 on its own. the bag maybe $40 or more. I didn't want to take the gamble but I wish I had

I wish I could get the Fallout one for less than $9000 on eBay. The normal monthly crate isn't for me, as $40 is a bit much to spend when you don't know what you're getting.
