sonos is a wifi speaker basicly, so instead of the bluetooth 10 meter distance. the sonos speaker is based on the range of you router. very good for that clear sound without interuptions if you take your speaker more then 10 meter from your device. it has a very clear sound, but lacks the base, (cause they want you to buy the subwoofer seperate) other then that, its a great speaker. congrats, its awesome to see you get that, im happy for you and even though you like to give away stuff you deserve some too. you been through rough times man! enjoy.

I run a 980ti and it does pretty good at 4k, I ran tomb raider on max settings and the only time it struggled was during cutscenes with all the hairworks, otherwise I got about 25-35fps average. I'm waiting to upgrade after Nvidia releases the 11 series, I gotta prepare for Starfield and ES6 :D

They talk about a contest where fans can win the same crate so that boogie doesn't feel guilty, but once you try to enter the contest you see that they try to lure you into getting a Lootcrate subscription in order to increase your odds to win the contest 100 fold (per day).

Sonos are really nice speakers, it requires internet connection as they aren’t Bluetooth. You can connect multiple with your phone, designate rooms with each speaker and can have them in sync as well
I dont understand why people put the Echo/Alexa speakers in their homes. Theyre just so sketchy privacy-wise and dont serve a particularly valuable tradeoff. Granted, we typically toss our privacy rights out the window with most things we do regarding phones and tech, but they seem like a pretty profound line in the sand that I dont care to cross.

Well there is the added functionality with these smart speakers that you can have hands free control of integrated smart home devices, ie smart thermostat, light bulbs, appliances, etc. These things can arguable become a hands free control hub for a smart home. Granted you could say that those are just unnecessary commodities/conveniences, but the same could be said of a smart phones 10 years ago.
Sonos is a really great whole home audio system that can be controlled by alexa. Sonos is a similar product to bose's soundtouch lineup except with more flexibility, better sound and amazing software. Sonos is the ultimate wireless whole home audio system. Also the sonos play 1(your speaker), one and play 3 are all moisture resistant so they can be used in your bathroom!. that's where I keep my sono play 1. Also if you want hear what that speaker sounds like I would run down to best buy they have an awesome demo for not only that speaker but the whole sonos lineup. With Sonos you can get a bunch of speakers around your house to play the same song at the same time with an app on your phone. We have it built into our house and they work phenomenally well.

A 980ti will struggle at 4k man, especially with newer games, upgrade when new cards come out.

Sonos are really nice speakers, it requires internet connection as they aren’t Bluetooth. You can connect multiple with your phone, designate rooms with each speaker and can have them in sync as well

I dont understand why people put the Echo/Alexa speakers in their homes. Theyre just so sketchy privacy-wise and dont serve a particularly valuable tradeoff. Granted, we typically toss our privacy rights out the window with most things we do regarding phones and tech, but they seem like a pretty profound line in the sand that I dont care to cross.
It is really not that different than having a smart phone. Ever have a conversation with somebody about wanting or needing a particular product and then start getting ads about that product?
@@jwtingle Sure. But theres, at a minimum, real world utility behind a smartphone that justifies that. I cant make that argument for some stupid Orwellian speakers, especially when theres typical bluetooth alternatives.
Well there is the added functionality with these smart speakers that you can have hands free control of integrated smart home devices, ie smart thermostat, light bulbs, appliances, etc. These things can arguable become a hands free control hub for a smart home. Granted you could say that those are just unnecessary commodities/conveniences, but the same could be said of a smart phones 10 years ago.
