My energy level is sky rocketing over my involvement in banjo lessons myself. It is through the roof... I am having a blast learning clawhammer banjo playing.. I don't think Music it self will ever die off... Music brings people together...and it is so soothing to ones soul.. Music has been around for 7000 or 8000 yrs...😊😊😊 I wonder How the first person felt that discovered A musical sound through moving an object around, probably in the form of sticks or branches, rocks. That's pretty cool to think about...
My grandmother played banjo. And clawhammer style. She was self taught back in the 40s and played in church and some at school where she taught. She was not a precise player. She just played and enjoyed the time. She also played self taught piano. It was a real treat when grandma got out the banjo. I still have it. Needs new strings and a proper player, but I have it proudly. Something about the banjo I find soothing. We did a lot of jamborees in the 70s and 80s in backwoods Missouri. Some of the best times in my life. Thanks for the music.

By the way, I am a couple days into learning clawhammer banjo on my very own Recording King Madison OT25 open back banjo. This thing tuned up right out of the box...😊😊😊😊 At first the banjo was too loud for my snark tuner. My snark tuner was jumping from C to F# in a split second, tuning was very discouraging at first till I did one thing.,,, So I put a wool sock behind head and laid banjo on bed and tuned it without holding it.. and with the sock in it.. The snark tuner simmered right down and acted normal..and I was in like Flint...😊😊 I just learned about using a violin bow on a banjo for an incredible sound to the ears..WOW what a sound, later after learning clawhammer, I am going to put a bow to my banjo and sit on my cabin porch and just see what happens for myself... Everybody have a great day. Remember God Loves You. 😊😊😊😊

Not by the music you play but the expression on your face. You got skills young lady. My comments are meant in the ut-most of respect. I've been making music for....well come next January it will be 60 years. still learning. the tree that fell on me a year and 4 months ago has put a kink in things but in the relearning my fingers are going through they are still learning new things. a moose in the yard last night. made getting firewood a little interesting. A good thing.
