I loved the "second guy" going over the main takeaways from each game - it really helps to notice and understand what the small differences are, when the opponents play different moves

The Caro is definitely my go-to opening when playing people I know are stronger than me in the opening. If I can keep equality, I have a chance, thanks mostly to your lessons here. Thanks, Alex.

The bad thing about the Caro is that is only playable against 1. e4, and I have the impression that a lot of players switched over to 1. d4, which I'm always having problems against it. Soo.. guess we need a 1. d4 course for black! :D

I'm just about to break 1000 and this video completely changed my view on the caro. I used to play it when I was 500 but kept losing my games and getting worse positions out of the opening. after watching this I'm absolutely stomping kids with the caro. maybe my experience helped but particularly the advanced with qb8 is just crushing pawn structures and leaving guys smashing their keyboards

Alex I hope u see this. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that your videos have helped me so much! I’ve binged them all basically since I started playing chess 2 months ago. Your teaching is so incredible I am to the point that I am always praying that I will get the black pieces so I can play the caro and kings Indian (caro vs d4, Indian vs everything else). I’m only rated 900 so far but I win almost every game with the black pieces. I bought your Jobava course last week but white pieces is still a work in progress since switching from the Italian to the Jobava (I think sometimes I try too hard for checkmate and develop too slow but is hard to resist lol). And tbh since becoming interested in kings Indian and caro I lost a lot of interest in the white pieces lol. I will be buying the caro course asap but is hard to imagine a course more informative than your free videos. Thank u again you are the best chess tuber out there (i also like chess vibes a lot but you are a better teacher).
