The end of a small era of space exploration right there. The Space Shuttle holds lot of inspirational memories and stories to share with the next generation of enthusiasts. An important symbol of the past and holds a beautiful truth for tomorrow. Godspeed!!! :)

Its fascinating to watch the guys work. Its not just what Nasa do its how they do it that makes them so special.

Regret never seeing a shuttle take-off or landing in person, but thanks for letting me share via your videos!

I would have been with you guys loading 103 (chris B.) but sitting at home after layoffs, good to see all you guys hard at work and real sad to see it heading out. But like they say all good things must come to an end just wish they would have waited till something else was flying. ALOT of unemployed people around now. At least i was there from begining to end of it all now we know how the Apollo guys felt. Hope everyone enjoys visiting her at rest on display. Was a great program.

I read somewhere once that because of the lift generated by the orbiter's wings, the load during flight is actually less than a full load of passengers. There would be a considerable increase in drag though.

It would be really cool if someone got to ride in the shuttle while it was flying on the SCA.

the shuttle was a great machine, although it was far from perfect. Here's hoping space exploration gets continued funding to actually fuel our advancement into space!

Just type in "AN 225 Buran" and then take your pick.
And yes, it really does have 6 engines.

If you really want to see a monster, check out the Russian equivalent. It's the Antonov AN225. They built it to transport their Buran orbiter.

So sad. I wonder if these workers ever think:
"Why, oh why are we doing this?"

If i was you i would stop making comments on something i do not know anything about at all or at least ask a question first, when on ground power the hyd only run on one system but u didn;t know that did you, you didn't know that there are three hyd sys. also did u. Go read first before typing.
