The lag from the warp bubble into landing the warp, they probably didn't even know. They probably just exited warp and they were just floating in space. Happens all the time.
The real doomsdays are the original full grid AoE versions when titans first came out. Press button and delete all subcaps on grid. We deleted nearly 300 ships in one blast with our Avatar (the second titan ever built in the game) while it sat at a POS on the other side of the system and fired the DD through a cyno that we dropped on grid. Thankfully they did replace those with the current DDs because the original ones were so powerful that about 20 titans could fire at once and delete everything that wasn't a mothership (now called supercarrier) or titan.

Original titans were easy to destroy with special interdictors kitted out to survive the DD in order to bubble for a dreadbomb or subcap fleet to delete the titan. There were three in game shortly after release. My alliance had one completed and another nearly finished a few months after the RMR expansion.
Yeah I love eve bit I can't go back. I played on my father's account, and he got me a tiny mining ship to run. I had such a blast, as I was helping him build a scorpion(I think it was called). Then, one day, it was complete and soon destroyed in a large conflict. He wanted to take a break, but when he came to return, they locked his account because he tried to change his password, and they said he wasn't who he was, then his account disappeared into the void. I did take a Merlin the morning after the battle and go look at the wreckage. Knew I was going to die pretty quick, but wanted to see it. Was a month old noob. lol. It was jaw dropping honestly. 5 years playing now and I've only seen 1 Titan on friendly terms (not counting the derelicts or daily event ones or the Amarr armada in orbit). Was ay the Luminaire Yoiul snowball and firework festival. One of the devs undocked their Avatar and 200+ people immediately orbited and unleashed firework hell on it. It seriously looked like the station gave birth to a Titan. Haven't seen a DD though.

Where two titans (the largest ship type in the game only fielded and afforded by the top ranks of player made alliance groups) were using area of effect super weapons on their landing spot

They warped onto that gate however there is a warp disruption bubble which caught them and trapped them from easily leaving. 2 titans then, like what you see up close here, were waiting for the fleet. And are firing area of effect super weapons into the landing spot of that fleet Killing what seems to be 20-30 people. With 3 stragglers who are escaping at the end.

Most likely yes. But I also bet every one was logged back in the next day. Ship losses are a regular occurrence in eve But titans actually deploying to combat is a rare treat.
everytime I show someone footage of the game I think this'll be their reaction lol. That being said fleets can be so stressful and adrenaline pumping for whatever reason
@@ExotticWolfe its very beautiful but its still an MMO in a point and click format. If that is not your style itll still seem boring. That being said, you kind of have to participate in both to get the full experience. Also, playing alone is definitely the fastest way to be bored and spend WAY too much time doing nothing. If/when you join a corporation, a lot of them have training programs and such for newer entries and also fleets being formed to train these new recruits in PvP. A lot of them have ship replacement programs so that you dont have to worry about dying and losing your hard-earned ship, but you still have a chance to participate in all aspects. You can build your ship through mining the materials yourself, industry, and buying the remaining modules, or you make money from missions or PvP and then make the purchase with that money. The game is complex with a very rich economy (in my opinion the best economy model in any game ever) since its a player-driven economy, but it all depends on how much time can you put in the game. I always say this game is my favorite game I never play. In my life currently I have no time to invest in any MMO so I dont really play it anymore but I had good times.
Does the DD weapon only kill enemies? Havent played since the old BOB V Goonswarm. Thought it killed everyone except for the titan itself. friend or foe
Titan DD weapons have been nerfed sense those days big time. They still have abit of an aoe effect as can be seen here but its nothing compared to what they used ot have. U can no longer assume u gonna win by simply bringing some titans. It may work against some medium sized corp but certinaly not against the bigger corps.
@@al_mamlohksa797 If you stay in highsec you'll never see a capital ship because jump gates don't allow it, the only caps you will see are freighters, because if you have a miner just casually collecting ores and getting blapped by a titan or something that would make highsec completely unsafe.

Any ship can hit any other ship of any size. It's just that most of the time weapons struggle to punch down and apply damage well. However this is an area of effect superweapon specifically meant for that, so it does hit hard on smaller ships.

No idea, they changed from single target to a bunch of other types like aoe, single dmg, etc... You do need to aim like a cone or something tho
