regardless, excessive chewing will cause your jaw to look puffier/wider. Same for girls. So if girls want slim jaw line, don't chew too much. In fact if he just continue doing that for a couple of years, his jaw will get so wide that doctor might see it as damages caused by excessive chewing.
It really depends on your face shape, like if someone has a square and rectangular face, chewing too much would definitely make it look abnormally large and if someone has Diamond, or oval face shape it would tone their faces almost perfectly. Unfortunately “Circular face shapes” just don’t perform well.
You’re right. As someone who started chewing recently, I’ve gotten nervous when hearing that it will eventually make you look like a bloated chipmunk.. I think that result is more likely with people who have full, round faces. I have more of “heart” face and I’ve seen good results after several months of chewing regular gum for several hours per day.. Rather than over doing it, I can see the gradual results, which I am happy with so far..
For the guys talking about gum causing cavities. A vast majority of chewing gum is sugarless and there are countless studies that prove sugarless chewing gum is effective in improving dental health and fighting cavities. The gum grabs and pulls off plaque, acids, and food debris. Leaving your mouth cleaner. And while I can't prove this is true, I would imagine the excess spit production caused by having something in your mouth(first step in the digestive process) is actually the body releasing digestive enzymes which are highly beneficial to the mouths health. This is why using mouthwash is actually bad for your dental health as it kills the beneficial enzymes in your mouth aswell as the bad germs and enzymes.
You don't kill enzymes with mouthwash... they're chemical mediators, they're not living organisms. And mouthwash is not the same as a broad spectrum antibiotic. You're not going to get a colony of super resistant bacteria from using it daily. And while xylitol containing gum is beneficial since it inhibits bacteria from metabolizing the food you eat, chewing gum can have long term consequences on your TMJ. It should be done in moderation and there are plenty of mints that can offer the same xylitol and salivary production benefits as gum.
Do not do this. Consistent gum chewing can strengthen the muscles in the jaw, but can also erode the bones in your lower facial structure. This can lead to conditions like TMD, which affects the TMJ. Edit: oh hey, likes. Thanks for reading. I’m aware of the bad terminology, just trying to help peeps out 😭
I used to be addicted to gum in highschool (until it progressively got to the point of literally chewing them constantly in between mealtimes) and it took about a month later when I started getting cramps in my jaw muscles... it felt like a rock and became harder to talk... each time I massaged it to loosen it up, my temple throbbed like crazy but after stopping it for a fortnight, it went back to normal and safe to say, never did it again... on the plus side, my dentist said that I had the cleanest teeth he'd seen and apparently my oral health was on point
jawline shows most when you have less fat, but the jaw muscles also helps it but not even 10%, most of the jawline thing is dependent on fat level yes jaw muscles can be a tiny factor
Is actually does work, before I let myself go I was going to train mma, I was in the gym allday everyday cutting weight and drinking only water eating to where I wouldn’t pass out lmao, I got into a habit of just doing facial exercises like a tweaker and chewing gum. My face slimmed down, everytime I would bite down my jaw Line bones would pop out. Overall I looked better cause I had lose weight and my face looked better. I’m trying to get back to it but the motivations hard asfk now especially cause I been having hard anxiety for the past 2 months and cardio just seems hard to do cause of shortness of breathe smhh. ( a bit of mewing aswell )
I'm literally not allowed to chew gum anymore. I used to chew ALL DAY, it gave me ear problems. I went to the ear doctor and he said, your ears are fine, your jaw is fucked up. I went to a jaw specialist and the first thing he asked me was if I was chewing a lot of gum. Me: "yeah, like all day" Him: "not no more" Me: "what, like, forever?" Him: "forever" It has been 5.5 years. I still miss it
I highly recommend mastic gum, way more gains much faster. And for optimal aesthetics try chewing using only your masseter muscles, with zero cheek or lip muscle activation, to get more hollow cheeks
@@TheChillStart It's a disorder whoch affects the jaw. It can make your jaw feel sore/tight and it can even make your jaw lock up. It can make it difficult to talk and eat. Some other things from the nhs website: pain around your jaw, ear and temple clicking, popping or grinding noises when you move your jaw a headache around your temples difficulty opening your mouth fully your jaw locking when you open your mouth
Hey brett. A humble follower, from the eastern part of the world. I've been following your channel for some time now, and you really are a nice fella. I share the advice u give with lot of my friends. Your channel is enough for someone to make a complete physical transformation. Being someone who is popular myself, I think you just got it right. However, a lot of my friends fail in life as well as relationships, when it comes to their intellect and mental maturity. I strongly suggest u to make a video on how to grow in that genre. Unlike many other TH-camrs, you seem like someone who is mentally and intellectually sound. Hope that you read this. 👊🏼👍🏼
This made me realise how stupid I am when it comes to chewing gum… I literally chew it every day, multiple times, cuz I fuckin’ love it, but at the same time I noticed my jaw started to hurt and it cracks a lot more the older I get (I’m not that old I’m 16) but I’ve chewed tons of gum the last 2-3 years or something and since then been getting the pain and being lazy to talk sometimes due to how uncomfortable my jaw feels. Maybe I should stop… I have a nice jawline though but I don’t think it’s because of gum but because of genetics 😂
It's a lot of wear and tear on your bones. Repetitive movements over a long period of time causes the bones to change, many people have skeletal changes due to their profession. You should probably stop, and maybe go to a dentist.
It does sharpen your Jawline. As a Gum Chewer, I can confirm that this will sharpen your Jawline. Because your mouth is heading to the Jaw Gym to get them Jawline Glutes. 💪💪💪💪💪
I have a bad addiction of chewing gum while gaming Like i finish those 60 packs of gum within almost 2 weeks and my jaws actually have muscles which is sorta disturbing to me
Ever since I was a little kid I've had a grinding problem, and I grind my teeth more than I blink. I'm 13 and my jawline is great, but my teeth, not so good. I grind to one side naturally, so the right side of my jawline is significantly sharper. Now I have to grind my teeth on the right side for another 13 years
Hey! Looking at the picture I see clearly that you MAXILLAS left side got more RECESSED after chewing. MY EXPERIENCE: I have been mewing a little bit more than a year now and i also chew and grind my teeth at night alot and after i wake up in the morning i have "biten my jaw hard together into smaller recessed jaw thats pushed into my brains (every time my left side gets tilted and pushed in). I often have to do extreme jaw stretches when i wake up to feel normal again and work like a normal human being. IMO chewing has made my jaw go recessed very easily. ( First stretch your maxilla open when you wake up then you can start chewing after you got it in the optimal posture otherwise if your jaw is even a bit recessed and you start chewing it will just get worse and give you serious symptoms headaches, clicking, brain fog and stuff like that so remember to stretch your maxilla and muscles around wide before chewing. CONCLUSION: After more than a year investigating my body every day I have found out the problem. The problem comes from your pelvis from having it tilted and having other leg higher than the other which makes the spine twisted and then the upper body twists too and after the jaw gets tilted too. I also have very imbalanced shoulders which makes sense and anterior pelvic tilt. After I started correcting my pelvis my jaw has moved back into its place and I can hard mew and do jaw stretches more easily to keep my face symmetric every day. Everytime when I sit long periods of time my pelvis gets bad and so does my jaw get recessed too and thats when I start biting teeth hard together at night because the jaw is tilted and blocking the airway on my left side which makes my bloodflow worse at night and by grinding teeth together the body is trying to push the blood into the brain because worse bloodflow and oxygen. But it will make it worse overtime and lock your jaw causing recessed maxilla. Thank you. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions :) Instagram: Akosmarco Here is also an interesting article that i found: www.alignpt.com/mysterious-connection-pelvis-jaw/
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude I was thinking it was all connected from there, whenever I workout my pelvis my jaw gets more developed/loose too. Thanks for the article, can’t wait to read that.

What kind of bs is that
So you are not chewing any food
I think before is good
I highly recommend mastic gum, way more gains much faster. And for optimal aesthetics try chewing using only your masseter muscles, with zero cheek or lip muscle activation, to get more hollow cheeks

I use to eat gum and do mewing sometimes or i just don't realize it. My jawline are pretty good I think.

You should definitely stop
My left side of the jaw cracks each time i open it and i aint chewing gums

My mom has been chewing gum daily since she was a teen (its honestly concerning) and she has the highest royal cheekbones I have ever seen.
Gum only affects the jawline not your cheekbones though
This is right, just rotate your camera bit down 😂
Ever since I was a little kid I've had a grinding problem, and I grind my teeth more than I blink.
MY EXPERIENCE:
I have been mewing a little bit more than a year now and i also chew and grind my teeth at night alot and after i wake up in the morning i have "biten my jaw hard together into smaller recessed jaw thats pushed into my brains (every time my left side gets tilted and pushed in).
CONCLUSION:
After more than a year investigating my body every day I have found out the problem.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude I was thinking it was all connected from there, whenever I workout my pelvis my jaw gets more developed/loose too. Thanks for the article, can’t wait to read that.
