    Am I supposed to muster up some sympathy for her? Good grief, what a freaking pity party.

      No dummy, you're simply suppose to just go by what she's saying. Pretend she's White.

    Thank you for sharing Oprah's journey on this important topic! It's inspiring to see her openness about weight-loss challenges and the insights she's gained about "thin people." It’s fascinating how dialogue can shift perceptions and encourage understanding. Looking forward to hearing more from her podcast. 🎙 Your coverage brings essential awareness, and it’s much appreciated! 🙌

    Im not a hater. But i was upset when this all began a year ago because my husband and friends needed to go on it for diabetes and there was a mess because they couldn't get it in the beginning because all the weight loss people were going on it or were already on it which created a short supply for those who actually needed it vs the people who didn't have to have it. Ozempic is for diabetes control, it was not meant for people who want to loose weight. The diabetes people realized hey im also loosing weight on this shot which got everyone talking and then began the circle of trying to get it and the supply was short.

      There is no shortage. There was very briefly, but there were also PLENTY of alternatives to ozempic available for diabetics, it was mostly a talking point. Go do your research.

      I didn't realize that PCOS is now considered diabetes! Where did you get your medical degree exactly? Asking for a friend. 😊

      Adult onset diabetes is the result of not taking care of your body. So I am not overwhelmed with sympathy.

    Food addiction is like any other addiction. One must deal with and heal their trauma. She hasn't done that.

      Probably, so. Her and lots of addicts. Sounds like you're targeting just her. Pretend she's a white addict. Surely then you can be more sympathetic.

    Rich people are usually thin. Expensive food = quality food = less calories. Poor people choose cheap & "fast" food, in order to survive. The sad reality.

    • @reginafisher960
      @reginafisher960 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I'll agree to disagree. In this day and age, if poor people can afford "fast" food, then they can afford healthy, "quality" food choices.

    Also some of us just cant gain weight no matter how hard we try. Some of us like myself always called skinny gives you an impulse and makes you insecure just like when you tell someone they are fat. It hurts us thin people too & alot! You have us wishing to be thick so bad its sad. Everyone should feel beautiful and attractive and love their body no matter what. We need to stop focusing on images. Its just not nice.

    Question: What is the obsession with thin women? All thin women are not the same. Some thin women overeat they just dont gain weight. Simple.

    I'm a Clinical Hypnotherapist in New Zealand. I deal with many issues including weight loss. All that has happened, is due to a shock or surprise, usually in childhood (we don't have enough in our subconscious library to reference our early experiences), and a part of us stops, doesn't grow up, nor does it see our life. It's like it's watching a monitor screen in a separate room, just following our emotions. That's why I treat weight in the same category as phobias. These lost parts create the noise and are very powerful. They can act as accerators (eat more, drink more, raise your anxiety) or handbrakes (can't do something- get on a plane, in an MRI machine, go to the dentist etc). Eating and sleeping are natural functions. Once the part is reconciled, the noise stops. Because the problem is lodged in the subconscious, you need to resolve from there. It is not what conscious mind looks after. It's incredibly freeing to not feel forced to eat by a part to make you feel better. All that goes. Just thought it was worth adding to this discussion. Using hypnotherapy is fast, gracious and often profound. Being a spiritual type, I also help with many other issues relating to this area. This is the new medicine. But in many ways, finding lost parts is not new. If you don't feel whole, feel a piece of you is missing, then this is real, true. Julie (fallingupright.com).

    So what she’s saying is they would humiliate her the way the girls at her school and Africa are getting humiliated …. She should put that same energy and trying to make Maui look good again or California instead of asking poor people to help .

    I don't find anything wrong with being a little fat. Older people (65+) are so frail because they lose all those food noise and they just waste into nothingness.
