This make me realize that the once seemingly annoying recommendation quests are actually the most interesting and colorful of the entire mages guild questline. After that it's basically just "person/item of interest is located in this dungeon - go clear it out and report back to the arcane university to receive the location of the next dungeon". And Mannimarco was just another elf guy in a cave. Loved your videos on this questline though and I can't wait for the other guilds.
I once did an Arcane Archer role play in Oblivion based around the Birthright of Astalon armor piece. Story went that my pc had stolen the armor in the isles and stashed it away before getting nabbed in the imperial city. Fast forward to my mages guild progress and I decided it fit my characters story to full bail out on the mages guild once I had the necromancers artifacts. What a fun game.
Hope you are able to do another little series like this in the future. Definitely looked forward to each upload cause it made me want to play oblivion again

I feel like they could’ve done a bit more to stretch out the story during the Arcane University arc, such as doing some more tasks for the local guild halls that involve the necromancer threat: trying to talk a guild hall leader/member out of joining the order of the worm, etc. That said, the Mage’s Guild storyline is still leagues better than what we got in Skyrim.
Fun fact: mannimarco actually just sitting in echo cave, and you can clip unto it at level 1 and steal the staff of worms off him (I haven't tried killing him but I'm assuming it'd break mages guild)
Awesome. Looking forward to the super cut! The Mannimarco battle in this game is a joke compared to ESO. Two whacks with a silver mace and he was down. Took me about 10 minutes in ESO.
To me the final boss was underwhelming Mannimarco was described and hyped up to be a big bad powerful guy, but when your character fights him he is about as powerful as the average necromancer and goes down pretty easily, plus inside the Arcane University was pretty bad ment to be the big place of study of magic and alchemy, but everyone basically brushes you off and are rude to you. Would have been good to have had at least a few NPCs who you could interact with and tell you what school of magic they were studying. Other than that i thought the Mages Guild story was good felt kind of rewarding when you become arch mage (Better than Skyrim where you become arch mage after like 8 quests)
You've been helping me sleep. Thank you. I do have a question how do you choose your apparel and weapons? Do you use the newest stuff you find as you level or do you choose them based on looks or stats? For me I have a mix match of armor but it became bugged. I wanted max strength more to carry more to hoard. So my armor is light they all have strength and invisibility enchantments as well as my rings. My strength is apparently so high even though it doesn't seem high enough to me. When I take everything off and put it back on the max weight carry isn't the same it's lower. So unfortunately I can't change armor :( . But luckily I have 100% invisibility it's best for speed running.
On a side note, my favorite part of this entire questline is that Mannimarco is built off as this super scary entity and when you finally meet him, he's another goofy high elf with the goofy voice 😂
I said it before but good God they ruined Mannamarco so badly. The premise for this quest line is great but they fumbled the execution. Really this story is supposed to be about a guild that uas gotten too political and up its own a** that it is crumbling. The necromancers are more focused and actually get things done but are made generically evil. Its as if the writers forgot that players could side with Mannamarco in Daggerfall. If we can't join them then why make the Mage's guild so laughably incompetent?
@@ABardsBallad There was six endings in that game all of them canon...for some reason. One of which was siding with Manimarco. In that game he was actually terrifying. In this game his boss fight is terrible its not just you who found him too easy. They made the King If Worms one of the most powerful mages in the series one who8also immortal I might add pathetic. I will give ESO credit for using him better. There he mocks you for thinking you did anything to him here he is a joke.

It’s true! I used console commands for a character before even joining the guild and he was just chilling in there which was pretty neat 😂
@ABardsBallad on console you can do the iron key popup window glitch to go through the door, or just load warp from another save

I never played daggerfall so I didn’t know that! That’s pretty neat! I definitely knew that they butchered his character in this game though 😂
